Nmims Indore, Summed Up

Likes

The environment of the college is very nice. The college authorities take the conductance of class very seriously and they reschedule classes if the teacher is not present in the moment.
The college has a very captivating infrastructure.
The celebration of festivals is amazing.

Dislikes

The timings of the college is from 9 to 4 which is very exhausting.
If you have to work for an event or a project which is academically beneficial, the teachers don't give attendance.

Placement Experience:

The placements are not good so far. As of this year only two companies came out of which one was providing package of 14 LPA but it did not select any student and the other one was rejected by college itself as it was providing package of 4LPA.

An overview of life at NMIMS Indore

Likes

The college gives immense exposure and keeps you in a constrained environment that might be stressful but benefits over long run. The best part is that the college always keeps us busy with some assignment or tasks that maximises our productivity.
The infrastructure is just amazing. The facilities and the modern amenities they are just so fabulous . The labs are so modern and there are almost all kind of machines available that are needed for productive learning.
The crowd! It is one of the most important aspect while choosing a college. The crowd of NMIMS is very elite and there are barely any instances of ragging or assaulting. This creates a safe environment for both boys and girls.

Dislikes

The attendance criteria is of 80% and the college is very strict with the attendance criteria, there are instances of debarring students just for not full filling this criteria. Medical exemption is also of only 10-15%.
The administrative system is completely centralised, so for even a small issue or chaos, it takes a lot of time to resolve the issue as all the campuses work collaboratively and in accordance to Mumbai campus.
Strict grading system and dominant schooling environment. NMIMS exhibits very strict grading system and GPA calculation, there was a instance where more than 40 students were expelled just because of academic incompetence.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement has a average package of 6-8 LPA. From 7th sem onwards the students are suppose to enroll in internships and are provided offer letter for recruitment if fulfills the requirements. There are various companies that are welcomed by NMIMS every year, it included TCS, INFOSYS, HCL, WIPRO, TECH MAHINDRA and etc. facilities state that there have been cases of companies offering more than 30 LPA but student could not crack it. Moreover from past 6 months there have been a change in the college where there has been tremendous focus on placement preparation where the respected associate dean and many other faculties provide different insights and tasks for placement preparation. I dont have the stats of highest LPA or so, my plans after getting the degree is to seek on campus placement.

Good Infrastructure,open cafeteria,indore & outdoor game Area
Many event was happen every month with lot of fun and enthusiasm.

Dislikes

Little Far form city but I can easy for indore after sometime metro will also start
You can carry your backlog upto 1 year not more then it
This college has 80% attendance criteria

Placement Experience:

College has placement and it was good with like avg pakage of 6-7 lakh in computer Engineering it was first placement in 2024. Placement of BTech MBA tech has 11-12 lpa . Cgpa of student would be higher then 3cgpa out of 4

NMIMS INDORE A HEAVEN?

Likes

College has a great infrastructure which is an eye catcher
Faculty in the campus is well educated and helpful
Cafeteria is a peaceful place with a variety of foods

Dislikes

Lack of outdoor activities i.e basketball, football, etc.
Exams are quite tough and it is difficult to pass
The college only allows one time exit which is kinda hectic

Placement Experience:

From 8th semester students are eligible for Campus Placements. Several companies come for on campus placements like TCS, HCL, DELTA X, ORACLE, etc. The average package for the last year was 6.52 LPA and highest was 14 LPA. Almost 100% students avail placements in the college

Campus infrastructure is the one thing where it stands out the most
Quality of education and faculty is the second thing.
The placement drive for internship is and additional plus point.

Dislikes

Canteen food can be improved and prices too
The walk from parking to campus is around 400 meters
This college allows only one time exit which can be hectic.

Placement Experience:

Students in their final year can participate in a successful placement drive held by NMIMS Indore. Companies like Crisil, EY, Reliance, ICICI, and next education participate in the placement campaign and pay skilled students up to 8 to 13 LPA. This college provides students with 100% placement help, and students who choose to continue their education may opt out of the placement procedure and seek advice from the institution. I'm in my last year and would be more than willing to take part in the placement drive.

Remarks:

My first year at NMIMS Indore has been excellent and has given me a memory to cherish for a lifetime. The college management is good and is working very hard to make our environment comfortable.
