IIIT Kottayam Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The placement companies at IIIT Kottayam include companies like bosch, TCS, jio, informatics, Wipro, Nissan, UST global, suntech, IBS, Capgemini, Goldman Sachs, Ericsson. Highest package offered was the CTC of 36 lacs per annum and the average package offered was the CTC of 9.07 lacs per annum. The individual placements were 44 197 offers were made. 88 percentage of the students were placed while rest went for higher studies.

Everyone thinks that good placement packages can be received through only IIMs or IITs but that is not always true IIIT Kottayam is one of the colleges that can compete with top IITs in terms of placement packages. The college is able to maintain a 100% placement record and the highest salary package goes up to 35 LPA and the average package was around 14 LPA. The placement committee of the college is also full of professional and experienced faculty members.

After 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Many big companies visit our campus like Microsoft, TCS, Infosys, Jio, Wipro etc. In 2021, 106 offers were made with more than 90% placement percentage excluding higher studies and from eligible candidates. The highest package was 42LPA and the average package was 9.2LPA. Profiles offered were Software developer, network security manager, Information security analyst, IT manager etc.

The college's placement record is excellent. The placement cell works extremely hard and is able to attract industry experts for placement. During the placement drive, companies such as Amazon, Microsoft, Infosys, Oracle, Google, and Apple come to campus. Our batch's highest package was 26 LPA, while the average package was roughly 8 LPA.

The college has made its name in the field of placement and the college can easily compete with top colleges in terms of placement. The college has a record of 100% placement. The college placement committee is full of professionals and the members of the placement committee properly understand our interest and domain so they invite the companies according to it. They also help us in the college placement rounds so that we are placed. The highest package was around 31 LPA and the average package was 12 LPA.

The college has a good placement policy and the standards of the college regarding the placement are very good. The placement committee is very dedicated and they really play an important role during the placement. As the placement committee fully supports us and they are successful in inviting a good number of companies and market leaders for placement drive. The highest package for our batch was around 22 LPA and the average package was approx 15 LPA. Even during the time of the pandemic, the packages were really good and if there won't be any Covid situation the packages would be much better.

The placement record of the college is good enough the placement record of the college is 100%. The placement committee is very hardworking and is able to attract the market leaders of the industry for placement. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Infosys, Wipro, Oracle, Google, Apple visit the campus during the placement drive. The highest package for our batch went up to 25 LPA and the average package is around 8.30 LPA. I was also able to secure a placement with the package of 15 LPA.

Because of my interest in computer science. 18:190 Qualification of all Prof is PhD teaching method of some Prof is best and some having good. And we have attended only online classes so can't say properly. Exams 2 mid terms and end term and regular tests and quizzes,and exams are abit difficult also

The curriculum of this college is modern and to the point. You don't need to go with the physics , chemistry, engineering drawing etc(which is not at all important for a CSE student).It Focuses on the development part as well as data structures and problem solving skills in cse. Professors are highly educated and skilled. Ready to listen your problems and doubts. Seniors are very helpful and are ready to guide you anytime. The technical club is highly active and coding culture is great. Coming to the campus, located in god's land Kerela and is very well built.Since the infrastructure is new, the hostels are well maintained and the classrooms are also spacious. High speed wifi connectivity is available in all areas of campus. Sports facilities are also available.The cultural club is highly active and you will get a lot to explore here. Placements are fair enough, the avg package for the last batch was 8.33lac and highest package was 33lpa . One negative about this college is it's busy schedule and if you don't go well with it.you may face some difficulty to maintain a good cgpa.In all its a good college for one who is really interested in CSE and is ready to give 4 years to it.

Good aspects (*CSE): The institute is growing in a very rapid pace, just 3 batches have passed out and IIITK has already achieved a average package of 8lpa , around 30 companies visit for hiring students every year, and the placement cell is working hard to increase and improve it and they are doing well. Coding environment is good at IIITK, developing coding skills has been given importance, and they train students from 1st year itself (its on students, how seriously they should take coding). About academics IIITK is already on top, the teaching and support staffs are very good, even in the pandemic situation they managed to run classes and exams smoothly. IIITK has all types of fests, cultural, technical and sports to refresh and entertain students. Clubs handled by the students, organizes many things which develops once personality in all fields of life. College has AIC center too, which helps student to get funding for theirs startups. its supper supportive towards startups.Bad aspects: It will not be fair to point this under bad aspect, but still I will mention it. The campus infrastructure is not 100%, its still under development but sufficient. So expecting things like a swimming pool, separate grounds or a indoor complex might lead you to sadness for now, but it might be ready in following 3-4 years. Admission: the admission is through JoSSA, based purely on the candidates JEE-Mains rank. In my case it happened in June-July, now because of the pandemic its different i guess.For my rank i was getting CSE in colleges which were newly established, so i had few to compare, and in those i chose IIIT Kottayam because it was better in those newly established colleges group, transportation and connectivity was easy for me.
