A glimpse of my college life

Likes

The alumni network is very good and the coding culture is very good which provides us an opportunity to improve ourselves in our domain skills.
The placements of the college are very good due to the amazing training and placement cell which brings various good companies to our college for internships and placements.

Dislikes

The high amount of fees makes it quite difficult to pay and thus requires us to take education loans.ed
There is a quite peer pressure like everyone is very competitive with each other and due to the different capabilities of individuals,it creates unhealthy pressure.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The year-wise fees for the course is 10,00,000 rs .The fees for the even semesters (2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th) is 1,04,000rs and the fees for the odd semesters (1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th) is 1,08,000 rs.This includes the tution fees alongwith all the other kinds of fees and is the total fees for the semesters.There are some benefits to reserved categories like Sc, St, OBC like they first need to pay the fees to the college and after the payment of fees ,you get the reimbursement of the fees paid from the government which is nearly 95% of fees paid. There are also scholarship provided to the students according to their reserved categories by the respective State governments.There is no such decrement in fees from the college side on merit cum based.

Our college does not have a strict rule for attendance.
There are people from all over the country, hence you get diversity.

Dislikes

Hostel Life is dead. Our college is in outskrits and thus children have nowhere to go for leisure time.
Food options are abysmal. There are no good restaurants nearby. Our college canteen also has very few options.

Fees and Financial Aid:

350000 - Per Year For General Category Student Tuition Fees- 230000 Hostel Fees-110000 Misc.-5000 to 10000 There are no caste-based scholarships provided by college. Children whose parents are in defence- do get some scholarhip Also income based scholarships are also provided.

Basically the fee for academic is 114850rs. but in first year it goes to something about 123000rs. because of some one time fees or refundable fees. Same goes with hostel also, in first year you give around 120000rs. but then you have to pay 110000rs. Well fees structure get revised often so please visit iiitn.ac.in to see the details. You will get scholarship if you are from sc, st, or OBC category and some state government also give scholarship for their own state's students like Maharashtra, Madhya pradesh

Likes

The college environment is very good. The college is very peaceful. Very good infrastuturce.
Inside campus is very good. The friends and seniors are well wishers.

Dislikes

I like spicy food, but college provide sweet food.
Campus is in forest type area. There is only One village nearby college.

Hello Juniors !!! Welcome to our college of you are coming here ! Fees is kinda high here untill and unless you are SC/ST/PWD. For the 1st sem you will be paying 123000/- tuition fees and 89500/- for 2seater hostel OR 80500/- for 4 seater This first sem fees of hostel covers caution fees , refundable fees of about 20000 /- However other than fees . Here you get the facilities of scholarship and in this matter college provides lot of help in some or other way.. There are state scholarship for most state ...if you don't belong to such States you have NSP . Teachers of first sem of non required subjects such as Electrical and Electronics are not upto mark but ya rather than that teachers for Computer Programming/ DSA/ OOPS are decent If we again come to fees it's about 13.38 lakh including hostel for 4 years as of 2024-25.. Going to campus life ..!! Forget about it . Our college is lot strict for 1st year in every aspect Talking about girls safety!! it's excellent. Girls coming here will be very lucky as there are less girls but the demands are very high due to which they got lot help from seniors !! We will be looking for a girl candidate for SIH ( smart India hackathon) form juniors so ....as soon as they come they will get to participate in Hackathon at national level So as of all For coding, academics our college is excellent or pretty good But for college life it's not

The fees are 247000 for the first year and 229000 for 2nd year onwards. The extra attributes in 1st year are library deposits, caution deposits, identity card fees, medical exam fees, medical aid, welfare fund.

Reality of IIIT Nagpur

Likes

the internet facility is very good. there are lan ports in every room, which gives approx 300 mbps speed.
the majority faculty is good and knowledgeable, in their respective domain.

Dislikes

some clubs are dead and music club does not have proper instruments.
sports infrastructure in very poor and no proper equipments.

fees per year is 114,850 (tution) and hostel is 80,500. in the fees structure for the first year they take caution money. after every year they refund extra money left after paying all hostel all bills to students approx 19000-20000. yes there are scholarship by various state government and national scholarship portal.fees is not increasing yet.full fees for sc st .

College is life is good Coding culture is also great.
You can see student from different part of the india.

Dislikes

Fees are relaticely high for myself 1 reason this.
Batch of the student is vary large around 700 student every year.

Total fess of the college is around 14 lakhs which include both hostel and academics . 9 lakhs around academics fees and each semester fess ariound 1.23 lakh Admission fees also there Hostel fees around 1 lakhs per year.

A Comprehensive insight into IIIT Nagpur

Likes

Academics at IIIT Nagpur are excellent.Various courses are available such as Computer Science Engineering with multiple Specializations such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning,Data Science and Human Computer Interaction.
College organises two fest mainly named as Tantrafesta and Abhivyakti during October and February.These fests help students gain practical knowledge and Students are given an opportunity to showcase their business ideas and implement them.

Dislikes

College has just 1 Hostel and New comers are not provided hostel facilities.Food of Hostel is of very avg quality.
College has just limited number of academic blocks and with growing number of students infrastructure is not able to handle all the crowd .

Fees and Financial Aid:

College charges high fee per semester which is around 1.2 lakh per semester. College itself does not provide any scholarship.Various State government and Central scholarships are available which differ in amount by state policy.I belong to General category and does not get any scholarships. Categories such as SC And ST get scholarships easily.College does not provide any such job roles or responsibilities of stifends.
