Ques. Is CUET UG mandatory for admission to BA (English) at MUIT Lucknow?
Ans. No, CUET UG is not mandatory. MUIT Lucknow offers direct admission to the BA programme based on Class 12 marks. However, students with valid CUET UG scores are exempted from the MUIT Entrance Examination and can use their CUET scores for direct admission. This makes the process flexible for students who have appeared in CUET.
Ques. What is the total cost of completing the BA (English) programme at MUIT Lucknow, including all fees?
Ans. The total tuition fee for the 3-year BA programme is Rs. 90,000 (Rs. 30,000 per year). Adding the examination fee of Rs. 2,000 per semester (Rs. 12,000 total) and the one-time application fee of Rs. 200, the total academic cost comes to approximately Rs. 1,02,200. If you opt for hostel accommodation, add approximately Rs. 60,000 per year (lodging + mess), bringing the total 3-year cost including hostel to approximately Rs. 2,82,200.
Ques. Can I pursue BA (English) at MUIT Lucknow and exit early with a certificate or diploma?
Ans. Yes. Under the NEP 2020 framework, MUIT offers multi-entry and multi-exit options. You can exit after 1 year with a Certificate, after 2 years with a Diploma, or complete the full 3-year BA degree. If you wish to pursue research, you can continue for a 4th year and earn a BA (Hons with Research) degree.

Ans. After completing BA (English), graduates can pursue careers as Writers, Journalists, Editors, Content Creators, Linguists, HR Specialists, Administrative Assistants, Social Workers, and Teachers. Many students also go on to pursue MA (English) at MUIT itself (fee: Rs. 31,500 per year) or at other universities, followed by careers in academics, civil services, or media.

Ques. How does the scholarship work at MUIT for BA students? Is it automatically applied?
Ans. Scholarships at MUIT are not automatically applied. Students need to submit relevant documents (marksheets, certificates, etc.) at the time of admission to claim the applicable scholarship. The university evaluates the documents and applies the most beneficial scholarship criterion. For government scholarships (UP Scholarship Portal for SC/ST/OBC), students must separately register on the UP government scholarship portal and submit the required documents within the stipulated deadline each academic year.
