Assam Science and Technology University Guwahati Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

GIMT was the first private engineering college in Assam and the fee structure is low compared to other private engineering college.Also the faculty's were way to good and the facilities were up to mark.

It is the first private college of assam. And being a private college it provide immense facilities for students. The faculties are really good. Placements are also pretty well. Hostel are located within the college campus. So it becomes very convenient for students to attend the classes.

Because I have not qualified for IIT or NIT and I wanted to Persue Engineering from Reputed Engineering College. Assam Engineering College is the 1st and the most dynamic College In Assam.

I also appear for the JEE examination but I couldn't crack it. Then, I appear for the CEE examination and got selected. As it is one of the prestigious college in our state. So, I decided to take admission into this college. Also, our college is near from our home.

Because it is nearby my home. And mechanical stream in this college is good. Plus there is also an advantage of very less fee with nice culture of sports and music. The culture of sports in my college is supreme. Being a sportsman myself i have enjoyed a lot these past 3 years.

It is the premier government state college and also the faculties are good.Also the environment is pretty good , and natural scenaries are all around.There are good accommodation facilities for students , Hostels . The net connectivity is there in the hostels and also the food is good there. There is also Masters and Phd programmes in the college along with MCA.The location of the college is near to the city and also the essential facilities can be easily availed.There are also playgrounds , basketball court , lawn tennis court in the college .

Campus placement basically depends on the talent of the candidate and his achievement on AEC.

I choosed because my CEE marks which was 92 at that time was not enough to get admission in govt engineering colleges and the OBC cut off was 120+. So, in Whole northeast Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Management and Technology is the no 1 and the oldest private engineering college and I decided to take admission there.

The college infrasturcture should be made a little better, and the placement shell should be given more importance
