  • Admission Charges, Caution Money, and Alumni Fund are one-time charges payable at the time of admission.
  • Caution Money (Rs. 10,000) is refundable at the time of leaving the university, subject to no dues.
  • Fees can be paid in 2 instalments per year (semester-wise). The seat booking amount of Rs. 35,000 must be paid in full at the time of joining.
  • Refund of fees is governed by the UGC Refund Policy. Refund requests must be submitted to admission@jlu.edu.in before 5 PM on 15th July of the admission year. Once classes have commenced, no refund is applicable.
  • Application fee of Rs. 1,600 is non-refundable.

  • JLU conducts its own university-level entrance test called JLURET (Jagran Lakecity University Research Entrance Test) for UG admissions. JLU also accepts CUET-UG scores for UG admissions. There is no mandatory national-level entrance exam for this course.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have passed Class 12 (10+2) or equivalent from a recognised board in any stream with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
  • Candidates appearing in their Class 12 final examinations in 2026 are also eligible to apply provisionally.
  • Candidates must appear in JLURET (written entrance test) followed by a Personal Interview (PI) conducted by the Jagran School of Advertising and Public Relations.

Admission Process

  • Fill the online application form at apply.jlu.edu.in and pay the application fee of Rs. 1,600.
  • Appear in JLURET (written entrance test) as per the scheduled date.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for a Personal Interview (PI).
  • Upon selection, a Provisional Admission Letter (PAL) is issued within 7 working days.
  • Sign the refund undertaking form and deposit the seat booking amount of Rs. 35,000 within 7 working days of receiving PAL.
  • Check scholarship eligibility on the JLU website and apply at the admissions office.
  • Deposit the full first-semester fee and complete registration at the Student Section office.

JLU Bhopal is best in Media and Mass Communication courses and therefore I took admission here as I wanted to advertising and PR studies. JLU is a tad expensive as university is so great that fees will be there. Best in class facilities and even scholarships are there for those who had 80% or more in 12th. It keep pushing but for that one has to maintain the required score every semester.
