- There is very good environment in sikkim, mount kanchanjunga is clearly visible from hostel rooms . Very peaceful place for study .
- Most of professors are well qualified here .
- Faculties used to teach industry relevant things . So, despite being soo much problem here , students used to placed in big mncs from here like apple, nvedia, microsoft..etc
Dislikes
- Right now, Infrastructure here is not well, in hostels there is fixed timming for water supply. But there is new permanent campus is setting up in namdong , so, we are hoping for better .
- Some professors are literally so irritable here. They treat students like school going nursery kids .
- Academic pressure is soo much here, professors used to give soo much assignments, projects, copy paste stuffs ..etc, they used to take viva , class tests , presentation regularly(every week). There is continuous evaluation process.
Internships Opportunities:
Here, internship is 100% in every branch,(literally)
Students used to start their intership from first year.
Companies like vedanta, reliance, government psus and government projects .
This year’s internship drive was
highly successful, with 100%
internships secured in CE, CSE,
ECE, EEE and ME. A majority of
CSE students interned in reputed
IT firms, while students from
Mechanical and Electrical branches
explored diverse opportunities
across manufacturing, energy, and

- The weather there is just like when you come out from your hostel it seems like a mountain you above the cloud all feels like so energetic
- Ofcourse you will receive a good friends here if you good only then only otherwise negative people as well
- yes the local food which is famous like thupa chowmin faley chura mimi
Dislikes
- the faciliy was not much in the hostel as well as the classroom but still whatever is affordable is giving
- The girls to boyes ratio is very less so take care for that
- The rules and regulation and yes the mess regulation so discutting
Internships Opportunities:
yes many company will come for the internship with stipend and unstipend as well it all about your preparation and only one internship will be provided as it is rule for the training and placement club

- Climate of Ravangla is very pleasant as it remains cold throughout with bright sunny days in the morning and chilled nights.
- View of Mt. Kanchenjunga (world's 3rd highest peak) is visible from campus of NIT Sikkim which is totally mesmerizing and breathtaking.
- Familiar behavior and nature of professors around you will treat you as their students and the professors are very much supportive in nature
Dislikes
- Infrastructure still needs to be improved a lot as students forced to line in a 5 bedded sharing rooms where it becomes very difficult for a student to follow their own routine and along with hostels the facilities are also not that top notch
- Course curriculum is very hectic as so many exams will be there including 2 mid terms and one major end term and more or less the professors focuses on theoretical things not on the practical applications.
Internships Opportunities:
Internship oppurtunities are provided every year at NIT Sikkim in top notch companies like Infinion, Cummins, Vedanta, NHPC, ONGC, IOCL, SLB, Neenopal, Dharaksha Ecosolutions and many others having an average stipend of 15k-10k per month

- The natural view of kanchenjungha and greenery with fresh air.It is so much relaxing.
- The quality of education and the professors.
- The perks and benefits of institute of national importance.
Dislikes
- The less availability of resources like water and electricity.
- Less space available and small campus due to which less number of rooms.
- Less exposure like no malls , no educational institutions and any kind of coaching centres
Internships Opportunities:
There are various internships available through training and placement cell in web development and embedded systems. Based on connections of professors one cm also get internship in power grid also. Also if anyone is interested in research they can get internship in various colleges like IITs also.

- Students are good in this college as everyone is supportive
- PhD scholars are good here and very helpful in nature
Dislikes
- Mess food is not that good in our campus and it's getting worst day by day
- Sports facilities are not good proper equipments are not provided
- Some faculties are not good in teaching as they simply read the ppt

Infineon, SLB, Nvdia which provided internship with a good stipend as role of web development sde intern
Projects are provided related to the domain in which they are particularly selected

Likes
- I liked the faculty as they are very supportive and teach well.
- The distraction free environment as there are no malls, clubs, etc. to waste your time so that you can focus on skill development
- The exposure you get being in NIT as it is an institute of National Importance.
Dislikes
- During rainy season it creates a lot of problem as there are a lot of leeches there and we are afraid to go out.
- The mess food is not up to the mark and tasteless, although it is a problem with every mess
- The hostels are very congested and we dont get place to sit on a table and study.
Internships Opportunities:
For internships usually, companies come for web development roles with minimum stipend of 10000 and many students also get a chance to go to ISRO, although it is an unpaid internship it gives you great exposure. Mechanical Engineering companies like Maruti Suzuki come for internship where most of the students get PPO.

Internships Opportunities:
Internships were plentiful in our campus, with over 95% of students receiving an internship. Our internship cell, particularly Ruchi mam, is dedicated to student internships. Some students can intern at a decent university such as IISc or IIT, while others can go overseas for an internship, such as in Canada. Our university's internship programme is generally positive.

Placement Experience:
The chances of a good placement are higher after doing masters, and that’s the reason why each year nearly 60% of the students go for a master’s course and rest 40% are placed from the mechanical branch placement cell. During my time the highest offered package was of 10LPA while the lowest was 6LPA. I am currently pursuing M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

The placement quality of the college is good. The placement committee members are professional and have good industrial experiences so they were able to invite more than 75+ companies for the placement drive of the college. The college was able to maintain a record of 100% placement. The college's highest placement offers goes up to 18 LPA and the average salary offers range around 10 LPA.
