NIT Sikkim B.Tech Civil Engineering: Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Firstly, there is full tution fee wavier for sc, st , pwd students and students whose family income is less than 1 lakh . But these students has to spent approx 17000 per year for other charges . Next category is whose family income between 1 lakh and 5 lakh , these students has 2/3rd tution fee wavier, & they have to pay approx 60,000 per year including every charges . 3rd category whose family income is more than 5 lakh , these students has to pay all fees , and the total amount is 1.42 lakh per annum. Now coming to hostel and mess fees - which everyone has to pay for it. Hostel charge 8000 per semester Mess fees 22000 per semester. #There is many other scholarship like nsp,pms which students used to avail for. (Extra point from my experience ---- I am from Bihar and in Bihar , there is a common family income certificate which is in the name of any earning member of family not individual mother and father seperate income certificates, they demanded me both income certificates seperately ,I can't able to fulfill that criteria to avail for less than 1 lakh family income, I have family income in name of both mother and father seperately, but they actually adds the amount and make up above 1 lakh zone , so, I had no other options then, I had to opt for 2nd category fee wavier i e 2/3rd. So, this is the biggest drawback of these scholarship criteria of iit,s and nits, government should make a common family income certificates for every state so that there is no any clashes between these criteria)

The course here is quite affordable. If you are a general category student then you have to pay around 105000 per semester. If you are from GEN, EWS, OBC-NCL or SC/ST, then fee remission is here there by which semester gets reduced by a great amount.

the fee structure is good there is full fee wavier for sc and st student there is also a facility in fee wavier for general obc quota it basically depends on family income if your family income below 1 lakh then there is full fee wavier and your family income is between 1-5 lakh then you have to pay 2/3rd of the fee also there is lot more program for scholarship

our fee structure mainly focused on the family income of a student if your family income is less than 1 lakh/y then you only pay the hostel fee and mess.if your family income is between 1-5 lakh/y then their 2/3rd wavier of tuition fee and above 5 lakh they have to pay all fee also there is scholarship for the student by central as well as state gov also

The fee structure is different of different nits in nit Sikkim fee structure divided into three categories,one for whose family income above 5 lakh in one financial year then they have to pay a full academic fee ,2nd for student whose family income between 1 - 5lakh they have to pay 2/3 rd of the full academic fee. and 3rd is for whose family income lss than 1 lakh then thier full fee wavier .and mess n hostel fee is common for all.
