This course total cost 30,000 rupees in divide 6 semester in 3 year, this course have lots of scholarship, financial assistance like swami vivekananda merit cum mins scholarship was the best scholarship in west bengal
The campus was beautiful and the professors were friendly and helpful.
Placement services are also good . around 60 percent student get placed

Dislikes

I really disliked how late our semester exam are held. this causes problem for 6th sem students as they can't apply for other places early.
The placement is really not good and many of the students hated internships and jobs for the medical representative designation.
The staff gets rude sometimes and are not helpful ( some of them)

A look into my college from my "POINT OF VIEW".

Likes

Facility is excellent. All the teachers are friendly and helping
Campus is huge. We also have a parking area in our college for bikes only.

Dislikes

The parking is only for bikes and two wheelers and there's no car parking in college.
It's a morning college so I have to get up early every morning in order to go to college which is quite frustrating.
The wifi in college is restricted upto a specific data only and students can't use the wifi to download or upload high size files.

I chose this course because I did my 12th from commerce and this course is related to my background. The college is huge with 1000s of students, both male and female. The principle and teachers of our college are highly educated and their teaching methods are also friendly and well mannered. We usually have our semester exams after every 5-6 months and the difficulty of exams is quite moderate.

Likes

Campus life is very beautiful lots òf green present
Computer Science department is wel structured and very helpful
You can see view of maa ganga in of period

Dislikes

Mathematics and physics department is not so good
Some faculties insult students badly and not so kind
Office staffs are not helpful they badly interact with students

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like Mathematics so I choose Mathematics honours course. Almost 20 students and 1 faculty available in math hons course. Most of faculties are M.Sc passed but their teaching method is not so good, new faculties are more helpful than old and permanent faculties. 1 or 2 term exams were taken before final examination the questions are mostly medium level.

I liked all the things was happened in my college
Every function was happened in college like Saraswati Puja
Every year they doing fresher party for new joining students.

Dislikes

Nothing was there which disliked in college

I choose this course because my 12 background was commerce and I build my career in commerce field. Faculty student ration is very good they are very friendly with student. There teaching methods is very good there teaching methods is very good.

My Experience of college life

Likes

Our math department and also faculty members were good
My campus life also interesting such as we did swarasati puja, blood donation camp in our campus.
I made very good friends. We enjoyed together very much in college life.

Dislikes

There is very bad situation of placement.
No one company came in our campus for job

I chose this subject because I loved math from my childhood and then I wanted to know more about this subject and also I wanted to grow my skills. My college's stuffs were not helpful when I asked about something they said "we dont know ,go". So I faced many problems during my course. But my college teachers were very helpful. They helpd me a lot.I never forget them.

Best college of kolkata

Infrastructure of this college is nice. this college is the best college in Kolkata.
Teachers are very supportive.they provides us with all the necessary ideas.
Placement the college provides is the best in the kolkata

Dislikes

Campus life is not that good as the college is little strict compared to others.
College don't provide the best fest and social life .
Fees structure is little high compared to other colleges.

Placement Experience:

After 4th semester college conduct the campus placements. Deloitte company has visited th e college for placement and they provide 30 offer. They provide almost 5 lakhs as the highest package and average is almost 3 lakhs. If the student has scored good marks in the previous semester then there is maximum chances of placement. I wanted to do CA.

The colleagues,study environment,term exams, simplicity of the college,library and the helping faculty.
The scholarship opportunities provided by the college,as it was a government college many benefits were provided to its students such as train concession, government schemes for child education.
The faculty helped a lot to its students so that they can score well.The environment of the college is quite strict,which provides the student to focus on its studies.

Dislikes

The infrastructure of the college,the hygiene of the college is very low.
There was a bit partiality in the college coming from the seniors
The canteen of the college is very bad.Eating food from there is a disaster.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I persued B.com,I choose this course because I wanted to do CA simultaneously. There is almost 60-75 students in each section.We had 4 sections. There were almost 20-25 faculty staffs in the morning session. The teachers usually talks in Bengali,and makes us study on a exam oriented manner. The term exams were moderate, whatever was taught in class was asked in the term exams.

Faculty is really cooperative and good and helpful.
Canteen is something that I didn’t expect to be this good inspite of being a government college.
Location is very good if you feel good you have market, lake, etc.

Dislikes

Student union I feel they are very irritating.
I think the basketball court should be maintained properly.
As I am from Assam I don’t feel discriminated but I feel that the crowd is less welcoming.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this course because i was interested in commerce. My faculty has 40-50 professors. Everyone have either completed their phd on their preferred field or they are currently pursuing. I will be appearing my 1st sem on February.

Sxc Kolkata Morning

Likes

The thing I liked is that the timing of morning course is very good.
The second is the fees structure for morning batch
The third is spirit of everyone towards your college match.

Dislikes

The faculty is the worst here except one or two professor
Cannot play sport for time pass in the campus
The canteen food is the absolute worst and also the security guard

Though I have not given the term exam, but the timing of term exam sure is good. And for passing I had given the C I A continuous internal assessment test and passing it was pretty easy and seeing the last year's paper and what has been taught passing this term should also be easy

Overall Sri Shikshayatan College is a decent college

Likes

Teaching faculty is very supportive and well trained.
Course books in the library are in abundance and updated.
The location of the college is really recommendable

Dislikes

The fee is very very high and they don't let u use college amenities
The food quality in canteen is very poor.
They do not conduct a fest or any fun meetups.

Placement Experience:

Final-year students are only eligible for placements. Companies like Deloitte and TCS come for campus placements. The highest package they provide you is 300000 per annum and the average package is 150000 per annum which is pretty low as compared to the fees we pay.

Likes

Societies - There are over 18 societies which are really active and help make you a better and skilled professional.
Faculty - the faculty is really helpful and they will guide which each and every aspect of help you sought.

Dislikes

Infrastructure - the college also accomodates a school, the campus is small and the facilities aren't much in number.
Attendence - A minimum of 75% of attendance is to be strictly followed through out your semester, to be able to give your exams , else get debarred.
Timing - the timings are a bit odd, from 6 in the morning till 8 in the night, might scare you out in your initial days of college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

They strictly follow the curriculum mentioned in NEP 2020. SXC Kolkata, comes under Calcutta University but it's autonomous so the syllabus is prepared here only. However the subject and faculty are upgraded and nice compared to other colleges. To make a comparison, the standard of the faculty and syllabus is no less than that of DUs.
