Everything about SNU NOIDA!

Likes

College infrastructure is so good, there’s everything hygienic and clean.
education system is very systematic and teachers are very good.
Almost every facilities are available in the campus

Dislikes

water quality is bad in hostels, very hard water
Some lab assistants are rude, but you can just ignore them
Btech programs schedule is hectic. For other programs, its good.

I applied to many other private colleges including mit,vit,srm and all. But i found snu better than those cause of many reasons: 1) student intake : while other pvt colleges takes thousands of students per course, snu only takes around 150. 2) facilities : snu really cares about facilities and hygiene. Living of life in snu campus feels very systematic. 3) location : in north, idts theres any other college with good packages as well as facilities. For cse avg package, its 12Lpa. Which is very good compared to other colleges. Admission process : for soe (school of engineering), there are ofcourse two ways 1) jee main (generally 92ile above for cse) and 2) snusat (cutoff isnt disclosed).

A beautiful life in Shiv Nadar University

Likes

I like the botanical garden in the campus.

Dislikes

I don't like the mess food in the campus.

I have choosen this college because it was given a good feeback by the seniors who already studied in the college. They told me about the freedom and personality development skills that can be availed in the university. I have applied for other government univerdities but I didn't get selected for them so I have decided to opt for this college.

A mixed bag of college life

Likes

I like the faculty of the college. My professors are very friendly and helpful.
I also like the canteen of the college that is names as Arcade.
Lastly I like the tuck shop very much in the college because it contained all the neccessary items at affortable prices there.

Dislikes

I dislike the places that are mostly crowded. I sometimes dislike the Dining Halls when they are filled with people and I don't get place to sit there.
I also dislike the food sometimes. Especially the food given on special occasion like Diwali, Holi etc. Nevethless I like the sweets given on the fests.
I also dislike the PDA shown by students at public places especially in library.

Admission:

I chose this college over other colleg like Rishihood university which I had appplied for because it was given a good feedback by my seniors friends in terms of developing leaderships skills by giving full freedom to grow and learn here. I had applied for Ashoka University and I was rejected by that in the exams that I had given.

Shiv Nadar University Life

Likes

Course structure and faculty, like the way they are
College campus and natural beauty of greenery
Mess food and the hungerbox system to avail that

Dislikes

Giving extra charges for ac and too recharging ac
Hostel accommodation are bit useless like tt room
Massive amount of people and quad sharing

Admission:

Op jindal was mainly for sports, bennett do not had good reputation, and shiv nadar had all of such things so yeah it's just like that, the one appropriate and i got admission into that's why i chose shiv nadar over others

Shiv Nadar University has great infrastructure, very well educated professors(specially from iit's and top colleges), great mess food and a huge sports complex
SNU offers wide variety of students from each part of the country, we have also some students which are from other countries which make an enviourment full of joy and calmness.
SNU's Sports facilities is one of the best thing i had liked about. It provides training of almost each and every sports which is available in the premises.

Dislikes

Less crowd as per the area of the college, around 2000 students are in the college for a 285 acres vast campus like university
Minimum Shops inside college premisis, around 3-4 shops inside college, I think which is not good as per the college size.
Can improve medical facility as per the college infrastructure.

Admission:

Since i have applied for some other colleges as well. These coleeges include VIT, MIT, and many other private colleges but I had deeply studied about SNU about its intake, placements, great professors and A+ infrastructure. I thought having 2000 students in a single bransh in colleges like VIT, MIT, I could go with a college having 400-500 Studnets in complete B.tech.

Shiv nadar university review

Likes

The professors are great , they are great
The environment is also okaish you find people of your interests easily
Food is great as well as facilities provided is also top notch

Dislikes

I dislike the strictness in the hostel though they are lenient than other colleges
Colleges are full of rich brats , keep this in mind
Fests are boring , no fun , expensive food there .

Admission:

This college is growing very rapidly, and other than this the return of investment is great comparing it with other universities College take admission through snusat and Jee exam IB exam is also considered

The Real College Experience

Likes

The approach of the university members to make sure the newcomers(first-years) are felt at home.It enabled the students to engage in the campus activitie with a more secure presence of mind.
The mess food is filled with tasty and nutritious food.
The faculty members are very approachable .

Dislikes

The cultural shock and the experience of a major transition .
The overly exploited freedom and the carefree attitude of students towards concerning things.
The distance of the college from major entertaining spots in the city such as malls, theatres and restaurants.

Admission:

I chose this college over other colleges I applied to because of the very centralised structuring of the course. I applied to Ashoka University and Krea University, I decided to make my UG education at SNU because I felt the positivity and insights it provided to me as a newcomer student felt genuine and ideal.

The sorts facilities are great with well trained coaches. This is great since I play basketball
The professors are very educated and are good at teaching.

Dislikes

The hostel has pest due to the biodiversity rk near by.
The campus is located away from the city which causes issues.

Admission:

I considered this college college since the facilities and faculty her seem great. Colleges like vit and srm have admitted too many students and as a result the college has become over crowded but the student intake in shiv nadar is limited which is great l. I had not recieved a rejection letter from other colleges.

The professors are highly qualified and are sourced from the best institutes in India.
Batch sizes are kept small which allows professors to give more attention to each student.
The campus is large and infrastructure is allow great which includes state of the art sports facilities and laboratories.

Dislikes

The campus is far away from city and lacks connectivity
The library is a bit small as compared to other universities.

Admission:

The reason I chose this college over other colleges was because of the global engagement opportunities that it had to offer as well as the campus infrastructure. This program also had greater emphasis on research compared to other programs. The process of admission included an exam called the SNUSAT. For the eligibility you had to have a minimum of 65% in class 12th in 4 subjects including English and maths.

Snu. Give them a chance

Likes

The food is decent. The menu is vast and the mess opens 5 times in a day
The campus is really big and not to forget, beautiful
All amenities that a student might need to set up their home away from home are available in side the campus

Dislikes

Security is too strict. It forces a restriction
The campus being big is also a downside as commuting from senior hostels to academic blocks where classes are held are very long and tiring, specially in the summer
Commuting inside the vast campus is very irritating as even golf carts are limited in number

The admission Process of my college was pretty simple. Mind you, the process was simple but getting chosen was not. I consider shiv Nadar to be a top tier university as I have experienced it. They are strict with the education system in place and should be proud of it.
