CSJMU B.Sc-HN FAQs
Ques. Can Arts or Commerce students apply for B.Sc Human Nutrition at CSJMU? Is there any disadvantage compared to Science students?
Ans. Yes, B.Sc Human Nutrition at CSJMU is one of the few health science programmes that accepts students from all streams - Science, Arts, and Commerce - with a minimum of 45% marks in 10+2. There is no disadvantage for Arts or Commerce students in terms of eligibility. However, students from non-science backgrounds may find the initial semesters (which cover Biochemistry, Physiology, and Food Science) more challenging. It is advisable for such students to do some basic reading on Biology and Chemistry before joining. The merit list is based on 10+2 aggregate marks, so students with higher percentages have a better chance regardless of stream.
