Eligibility Criteria
Aspirants seeking admission to 4 years full-time B.Tech program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.
Academic Requirement:
- A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Mathematics & Physics as compulsory subjects with either Chemistry /Biotechnology/Computer Science/Biology and recognized by any State Board / Central Board or any other accepted by SASTRA as equivalent to 10+2 or its equivalent examination, with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry /Biotechnology/Computer Science/Biology obtained in a single sitting.
Entrance Exam:
Candidate must qualify JEE Main entrance test.
Age Limit:-
Candidate should not have completed 19 years.

It must be acknowledged that schools are free to set their fee structure and the state can only verify whether the fee charged is reasonable and does not amount to profiteering. There is a need for transparency in private school finances.

In 2019 the fee structure is 65000 for the first year and will increase 5percent for every year, this is the policy of sastra at that time so be well informed at this ask some students who joined after corona pandamic. I do think there are scholarships for students who financial is less than 3lakhs,And some financial assistance for good performance in studies.
Fee Structure And Facilities:
Sastra's fee structure is quite affordable and cheap when compared to all the deemed universities in Tamilnadu. Since the admission is based on merit each and every branch/department of B.tech has the same tuition fee. If you are and hosteller, The average food cost for the food is 3500/month which has to be paid every month.The hostel fees for the first year students is 12500/month which is the cheapest I've seen so far. The hostel fees for the second,Third and fourth year depends on the hosteland type of rooms you choose.Sastra completely guide you to avail the scholarships offered by the government.Apart from that College itself offers some scholarships for hostel students, And to the students who are eligible for the Dean's merit list in which certain amount of money will be credited to your bank amount. Sastra offers excellent Job opertunities as mostly everyone would get placed other than the students who wish to pursue their PG. But many companies who come here are IT companies and hardly you'll get placed in a core company.

This mechatronics course is the upcoming future that I was interested in this field from clg days. The teaching staff is ok.. There is no problem with the faculty as we know that in b. Tech we have to study on our own self

Yes there are merit scholarships for the students who achieved good CGPA in first year itself and loan is also available for the Freshers by city Union Bank. A branch CUB bank is established at Sastra campus itself and one atm for boys and one for girls hostels
