The course is good and you can get a scholarship as mentioned and also people are present for scholarships and other offers for getting your fees reduced and campus placement is also good and facilities are also good
Faculty members are so friendly and good faculty and student ratio is 1:60 that is pretty good faculty is so friendly and frequent they so good with proper communication faculty are nice and educated they are well educated and free
Big companies like boeing and indigo comes for placement and campus interview

Dislikes

Some teachers are likely to be bad people in general and don't understand the students troubles
This college has some of the worst services when it comes to due fees, semester results , attendance shortage etc... Their ERP system is trash and they need to work on it
The fees department charges you extra unjustified charges.

Hindustan university best Memories

Likes

campus , faculty, class, ncc ,nss and canteen
social interaction is verry good in this campus most Ethiopian student study here
placements are much better than last year cause there are many companies for us this years

Dislikes

the quality of hostel food is very low and very unhygienic

placement are not miuch as core company for aeronautical students but where as for the students of cse and other departmwebts thgere are a lot of placements and many companies visit for placements at our collage

Likes

I like my college sports team and their play field
I like my college for its canteen and stuffs
I like my college for my professors as they are very good and polite

Dislikes

I don't like my college because they see partiality and
I don't like why they don't leave us without a helmet
I don't like how they ask money for almost everything when we have paid them already

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well the specific aspects of this curriculum was influenced by my old school professor who said to me that aeronautical is better then most of the engineering courses that are available throughout, the curriculum is very good and it helps us all the students to the real world of aeronautics it is very good and very much appreciated by us students that they help us this much they even have a real life simulator and other types of advanced mechanism to teach us the aeronautical engineering courses

I wrongly took this course and I regret doing it now . They prepare us very well for the placement and v have training for placements frequently . Treat everyone equally Timing of the exam is 3hrs and it's more than enough

We have plenty of aircrafts, helicopters and the lab facilities are top notch

Dislikes

The faculty prefers to speak in Tamil they’re very weak in English
The climate in Chennai is awful no ac is provided

Students can apply for placements from 3rd year We have indigo Boeing mainly Highest would be 10 lakh lowest would be 1lakh Very few students get placed as most prefer masters and don't sit for placements I'll also be going for masters

Vibrant Cmapus life at HITS: Academics, Oppurtunities and Social Engagement

Likes

Campus life, it has plenty of clubs and events we can participate in.
Placements, good placements in tech fields from the placement fields.
International exposure, the institute offers exchange programs and collaborations with foreign universities.

Dislikes

Gender ratio, they have 30 percent girls and 70 percent boys, management should try and make it more blanced.
Administrative issues, they process requests very slowly and results of every semester are declared very late, they are declared 2 months after writing the exams.
Hostel facilities, although the college and infrastructure are modern, hostel and bus facilities are not that great although they charge very highly. Food problems are very often in the college canteen as well as hostel.

Placement Experience:

We are eligible for the placements only during the 7th semester, we are given pre placement training, mock interviews and skill development workshops. Most of the recruiters at HITS for CSE are TCS, Wipro, Congnizant, Capgemini, IBM, HCL and Accenture, others include KPMG, Deloitte and EY. The number of offers differs from company to company. The highest package ranges from 12-15LPA, the average package is mostly 4-6LPA and there are alos slightly lower offering salaries like 3.5-5LPA. PRofiles that are most offered are Software Engineer, Data Analyst and Consultant. Almost 70-80percent of the students get placed and this may also vary across departments. Plans after receiveing the degree and if not placed are to pursue higher studies or build my own startup in the tech industry and build more skills side by side.

The times at Hindustan

Likes

The thing i liked about my college is that it is very clean and you can socialise a lot
There are events which are frequently conducted by departments and many celebrities will also come
And there are no of clubs to join in here

Dislikes

I disliked that there are no intiative towards student's needs like sometimes the teachers won't come to class but the students when they don't come to class it's a problem
Other thing is everything is slow here like they don't totally do events very well like they take initiative but can't execute well
There are groupism in this college like language wise city wise state wise ,it happens but still it would make people who are introverts to become more introverts

Placement Experience:

So the placement of our college is pretty good my senior got into Boeing and another senior got in HAL so if you have the potential and capabilities placements are easy here But I think it's kind of less the placements are because the lpa is very less ,as we are only UG students the job offers are for minimum wage so we needs extra skills to get high package and should maintain good relationship with faculties to get internships

The course curriculum is in the way of all the necessary needs for the degree I choose. The teaching methods are good and we are able to answer all the questions in the exam so from that itself we can know that the teaching is good

Hindustan Where dreams come true

Likes

Love the ambience and the labs in college. Extremely suitable for practical applications
It’s very free and the students have a lot of freedom
Can find good friends . A large variety of people

Dislikes

The hostel from what I’ve heard from friends are very bad
The teachers in first year of college is horrible after you get into your specific department. It is excellent
Large college . So have to walk a lot between classes

Placement Experience:

Placement comes after 7th sem for a four year course and 5th sem for a 3 year course . IBM have a partnership with Hindustan. Volkswagen and Ashok leyland also visited . My plan after my degree is to start a business

Hindustan university, where I kicked my greatest goals.

Likes

I personally like the infrastructure of the college. We have different blocks with spacious classrooms along with lift.
The staffs are too friendly, having a good relationship with the staff during the course is very important.
It has good place around to hangout with friends and apart from academics NCC , horse riding clubs are also there.

Dislikes

The price of the things inside the college is high.

Placement Experience:

From the third year the students become eligible for the campus placements. The college provides better placements from top companies like Boeing, DRDO, HAL and many more. The average package is around 4.5 to 5 lakhs per annum. Many students get placed .

Our college has good laboratories for aeronautical, aerospace, mechanical, mechatronics, and automobile.
It has a good library with huge no of books

Dislikes

You will have minimal number of fests. To be frank dont expect fest from our college
Recently many senior staff has resigned. University didnt do anything to stop them from going. They are filling those senior roles with new professors who dont have that much experience as compared to professors who left the univ
There is no proper contact between student and management. Its the main thing that i dont like about my univ.

Placement Experience:

As for my batch we had good placements. Students are eligible for placements from 6th semester. Since my department is aeronautical we have less companies visited. 4 companies visited (boeing, indigo, saffron, capgemini). We got packages ranging from 9 lpa to 4.5 lpa. With an average of 6lpa. Nearly 60 to 70 students got placed outof 210 students.

Overall, Hindustan University is average at best.

The quality of education offered is not good. Most faculty members are fresh graduates and don’t have much experience.
The institute doesn’t have a good infrastructure. Although the institute claims to offer a good Aeronautical or Aerospace program, they don’t have good facilities or faculties to back up the claim. Besides a subsonic wind tunnel and four broken-down plans, the department offers zero facilities.
Hindusthan University fees are pretty steep. The B.Tech Aeronautical Engineering program costs around INR 14.39 Lakhs.
The institute doesn’t offer any internships or co-op opportunities to students. The placement opportunities offered aren’t worth the high course fee.

The college lacks basic amenities that are essential for the overall growth of the students.
