CUTN Admission FAQs

Ques. How does the counselling process at CUTN work after CUET results?

Ans. Students need to sign up on the CUTN portal for admission and upload documents for verification. Seats will be allotted in order of CUET rank, category, and availability. In case of remaining vacancies, multiple rounds may occur. The system ensures that all steps are completed online, without any extra travel.

Ques. What are the usually required documents at admission?

Ans. Students require mark sheets, CUET scorecards, ID proof, and category certificates, if applicable. Transfer certificates and character certificates are also part of verification. Photo uploads and signature uploads are compulsory at the time of online registration. Final admission is confirmed only on physical document submission at the campus.

Ques. Students from any state can apply to CUTN.

Ans. Yes, CUTN is a central university; hence, students from all over the states and union territories are eligible to apply. No state quota or regional preference is given while allotting seats. The seats are purely filled up through CUET-based merit. Therefore, it makes a diverse mix of students every year.

I applied for the other colleges like Banaras Hindu University and Allahabad University and many other colleges and that colleges are quite old and they have some reputation and name of their academic background and their curriculum. I didn't get admission their because of my low marks as i am from general category and for general category the cutoff is very high and so that i had given the CUET exam that is common University Entrance Exam and that therough i got my college Central University of Tamilnadu. I didn't get any rejection from any other college i choosen this college. In my college admission process happens through the common university entrance exam that is known as CUET and by this exam you can get admission and eligibilty for the exam is you have to pass 12th with minimum percentage so that you can give exam CUET and after doing counselling processs you will get admission in this college.

Admission:

I wrote CUET but i did not apply to DU because of many reasons out of which delay was a reason. But then i compared the syllabus of DU and MSE and the rigor of MSEs syllabus cannot be matched with any other colleges i applied. I got admitted in few of the local colleges which i kept as a backup, but the staff lore and the syllabus is not as good as MSE. I did not apply to a lot of other colleges. The admission process to MSE is simple. You need to register for MSEET and if you clear the cut off you will be called. 12th marks are not considered at all (you need to pass tho) but they require you to have applied/standard math/ statistics in class 12th. They do not require any other examinations as such. It is pretty easy to clear the examinations.
