Following is the syllabus for  Vardhman Mahaveer Open University - [VMOU] ,B.Ed. The important subjects for B.Ed. are Childhood and Growing Up, Learning and Teaching,Knowledge and Curriculum, Health and Physical Education, Peace Education.

Year	Courses
Year 1	Core Courses: Childhood and Growing Up, Contemporary India and Education, Learning and Teaching, Language Across the Curriculum, Understanding Disciplines and Subjects, Gender, School, and Society. Pedagogy Courses (Choose Two): Pedagogy of Physics, Pedagogy of Chemistry, Pedagogy of Biology, Pedagogy of Geography, Pedagogy of History, Pedagogy of Civics, Pedagogy of Economics, Pedagogy of Home Science, Pedagogy of Business Organisation. Enhancing Professional Capacities (EPC): Understanding the Self. Practicum: Engagement with the Field – Tasks and Assignments related to theory courses. School Internship: Minimum of 4 weeks.
Year 2	Core Courses: Knowledge and Curriculum, Assessment for Learning, Creating an Inclusive School, Health, Yoga, and Physical Education. Optional Courses (Choose One): Vocational/Work Education, Health and Physical Education, Peace Education, Guidance and Counselling. Enhancing Professional Capacities (EPC): Reading and Reflecting on Texts, Drama and Art in Education. Practicum: School Internship of 16 weeks.

Candidates who possess all the following three qualifications simultaneously-

i. Are teachers currently teaching primary classes (classes 1 to 5 or 1 to 8) in any government/non-government (recognized) school.

ii. Have passed two-year primary teacher education training course like B.S.T.C./D.Ed. etc. in the prescribed manner which is recognized by N.C.T.E.

iii.Graduation/Post Graduate (Arts/Science/Discipline) examination with minimum 50% marks in general category, B.Tech graduation (with Science specialization) with minimum 55% marks in general category.
