VMOU Result 2026: Semester Marking Scheme
There are certain rules & regulations for end-term examinations as prescribed by VMOU. In order to pass the course, students have to satisfy the minimum marks requirement. Students have to secure at least 36% marks in the exam, except for BCP/BAP/BSCP courses.

VMOU Revaluation Result 2026
VMOU provides the opportunity for the reevaluation of answer keys. Students who are not satisfied with the marks can apply for revaluations, re-totaling of answer scripts, and re-checking after the declaration of the result. Notice for revaluation will be released on the website after the declaration of the result. VMOU usually releases the revaluation notice within 3–7 days after result declaration.
- The revaluation results will be released on the official website 1 month after the approval of the application.
- VMOU allows revaluation only for theory papers, up to 25% of the total papers appeared in an examination.
- Students must apply within 10 days of result declaration by submitting the prescribed form and a non-refundable fee of INR 400 per paper.
- The answer script is re-evaluated by another examiner, and marks may increase, decrease, or remain unchanged; in cases of significant variation, a third examiner may be appointed.
- Revaluation is not available for assignments, practicals, projects, dissertations, viva-voce, special examinations, or improvement papers.
Important Note: Students can apply for revaluation of answer scripts within 10 days of the result declaration.
How to Apply for VMOU Revaluation?
VMOU allows students to apply for revaluation online, and the entire process is conducted digitally without requiring any offline application form.

- Select your Programme / Course.

VMOU Challenge Evaluation
VMOU Challenge Evaluation is available only for Term-End Examination theory papers and can be applied for only after the revaluation process is completed.
- Students must submit the prescribed Challenge Evaluation application form within 15 days of the revaluation result and pay a fee of INR 5,000 per paper.
- The marks awarded after challenge evaluation, whether increased or decreased, are treated as final for determining the result, division, and merit.
- A full fee refund is provided if the marks increase by at least 10%; otherwise, no refund is granted. Students may also request a digital copy of their evaluated answer script.
Note: VMOU does not allow Challenge Evaluation for practical examinations, assignments, projects, dissertations, or viva-voce components.

- Eligibility: Must have applied for Revaluation; only Theory Papers are eligible.
- Apply After Revaluation Result: Challenge Evaluation can be requested only after the Revaluation result is declared.

VMOU Improvement/Division Improvement
VMOU allows students who have already passed the examination to apply for an Improvement/Division Improvement Examination to improve their marks, percentage, CGPA, or division. This facility can be availed only once.
The fee is INR 450 per paper for UG courses and INR 750 per paper for PG courses. This facility is generally available only for theory papers and is not applicable to Certificate, Diploma, and PG Diploma programmes. Students must submit a separate examination form within the university's notified application period and can usually avail this opportunity only once, subject to university rules.
