I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University Jalandhar Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

As i have taken reviews of my seniors they say they do get placements in 2nd last semester as in bca it will be 5th sem and for btech its 7th sem, many companies like amazon, google and more have visited, percentage of students geting placement would be 50 percent i guess

The overall placement rate of the college is good. Companies visit the college in the fifth semester and hire students for various domains. Some of the companies that have visited the college are TCS, Tech Mahindra, etc. and they offer 10 placement offers to the students on average. The highest package offered in the college was around 10 LPA for the software engineer profile. The placement percentage of college is around 60%.

As I have taken bca as my course because I want to make my career relates to coding and computers as I am interested in it and bca is the best course for this and this college provide good knowledge about bca

In 3rd semester students are eligible for placements and college also provided different different companies link for job interview. So many companies are came to college for placements or invite students for interview in their office. If I talk about the packages it depends upon the students skills and companies decision. My plan is to study masters after the graduation.

Campus placement are unavailable for BCA but only for BTech and MBA. Internships are suggested by teachers and guided One may get apply for internship placement out campus. Minor projects/ major projects are to be made by students in 5th and 6th semester

Subjects in BCA are good for the programmers , the subject provide good knowledge to a student to become a good programmer but the staff members and guest faculty is not up to the mark. The guest faculty have not any good knowledge about the subjects , so students need to self study for passing out all the semesters

Subjects in BCA are just enough for today's technology, but does not build logic as BTech. Subjects are taught from only apllications point of view, and does not go into depth of logic.The Faculty members are mostly guest faculty and they does not have any greatness in their respective subjects, while some of the permanent teachers here teach really good.

I'm doing bca I'm very satisfied with it, my faculty teachers are very understanding they help us with every little problem related to our subject.. they also take extra classes even when we require... They are very friendly with us.

*Campus placement are eligible as per the courses like BBA have 3 year course so the placement will be occur in the 6 semester and in the btech the placement will start from 8 semester. *In our college we only have 3 and 4 companies which comes in 3 year course placent and companies comes for 4 year courses. *Btech contains highest placement is upto 35 lakh and BCA contains 2 to 5 lakh placement I think so. *Placement should be given above 7 cgpa *I am doing BCA after than I will do the master degree is MBA.
