In the final semester of the PG program, students have the freedom to pursue projects at any location they choose, aided by recommendation letters from the department. However, the responsibility of finding these projects lies solely with the students, as the department does not offer specific suggestions. Internships are highly encouraged, with considerable support provided by the department. Financially, the university offers a monthly scholarship of 1,000 INR for students in Port Blair, but this is typically disbursed only after the course is completed.

Despite the relatively low tuition fee and an additional scholarship of 8,000 INR per month, students often face financial difficulties due to the high cost of living in Port Blair and expensive flight tickets. Furthermore, students are required to pay a fee of 11,000 INR each semester. A significant downside is the absence of campus placement opportunities, which is a major concern for students.
