Kanika library was the best thing i like about this institution. it is really great facility for students to read in a calm environment.
They are very helpful and student friendly with very good experiences and their mentorship is outstanding.
Maximum of th3 best ranking students get the placements at renowned companies like godrej bosch, hotachi, wipro, infosys, tcs, tata, mahindra etc.

Dislikes

Bad environment in night time and bad student in our side
The drainage system is very poor. In rainy season its very difficult to move in the campus.
The hostel food is not so great, many changes needs to be done.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Teachers teaches us with real and current time examples. Yes the curriculum prepare us to analyze economic activities and suggest solutions. Exams are not that difficult but maths need some attention. Some practical knowledge should be given which is lacking in many institutions

Affordable course and hostel facilities.

Regularities in class and lack of systematic approach to study.
Lack of seriousness and dedication amongst the students and the faculties.
Poor drainage system in the university campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I enrolled myself in this course because of the subject matter and approch to study political science in theory as well as in practical scenario. Improvements can be made in the fields of lectures by making it more elaborate and specific. Exams are held in every 6 months and the questions are not that difficult to attend.

FILM Society : ravenshaw has its film society where various types of film get displayed . Especially the award winning movies and the film society gives us opportunities to participate in state leading dramas and to have a grasp about the industry
I am engaged in the dramatic society and sports group
Maximum faculties of our department are skilled and mainly they are from JNU and the teaching methods and mentorship quality are up to mark

Dislikes

There is so technology related class for which it is little difficult to cope up with today's world . There is ICT lab in our university but regular course students can't use that one.
The food at cafeteria is very basic and there is no variety of dishes available

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. The schools which recruit us are like KV , DAV etc and various IT companies also come like Deloitte , TCS , Wipro etc . The percentage of students getting placements is 90 % in our department.

The well matintained Campus with many attractive classrooms and a greeny environment with best communication and transportation. It also provides the best Library .
Highly experienced faculties who provides creative , innovative and practical knowledge with being friendly and patiencely.
The hostel facilities are highly demanding with excellent infrastructure ,cleaniness and the hygenic surrounding with favolus food.

Dislikes

The college area is being always overcrowded and noisy during the day time.
The traffic area outside the main entrance of the university is not upto the mark.
No vehicle is available for the college students to travel easily.

Placement Experience:

Honestly , I dont have specific knowledge about the placements as I was a BA student . But yes I have heard from my mates about the placements with well known comanies and by providing an adequate amount of packages.

The best education in the university in an affordable price
The surrounding and the infrastructure of our university
It was renowned world wise as it was an university from the British period

Dislikes

Maintainace of the infrastructure was not good
The time punctuality of lecturers and staffs
Politically more engaged than the educational benifits

Placement Experience:

From 5th sem students are eligible for the campus placement and there are many companies that hire the students like infocity, Mahindra , etc etc these companies gives around 3 to 4 lakh per annum depending upon the skill and the marks you achieved and some recommendations also

Wow very nice.

Likes

I like the college environment very much and the location where it is situated.
The relationship among all students is quite good.
The faculty members also very cooperative towards the students.

Dislikes

The hostel food is quite bad and sometimes it got worse.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like literature a quite more that's why I chose English as my course subject so that I can built myself accordingly for future. Here the frequency of exams is quite hood as there is 6 months gap between the semester exams.

A University with good Campus life

The games and sports facility is good in this University.The playground is huge and provides good space for any sport you like.There is also indoor court for basketball and badminton. You can also participate in intercollege tournaments from here.
Infrastructure is very good here. Though the university is old,but the infrastructure is managed properly.
The library here is the largest one in Odisha. It provides many books and facilities. It has a provision called egranthalaya providing e-library for people along with wifi. It also has braille facilities in it.

Dislikes

When I was studying there the syllabus was covered rapidly to complete the syllabus.
As a psychology student we had very little field exposure there. The practicals were not thorough.
Placement services are available for students in self finance courses like ITM, IST, etc. But not for others.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The quality of course curriculum is average here. The content of the curriculum good but lacks practical application in it. As they say in colleges, you have to study by yourself for further academic pursuits. They do not actually prepare you for that. Though my department had few mock tests for further studies' entrance exams, but they do not focus on this. The faculties are concerned about completion of the syllabus and the results of students in semester exams. Other than the mid term and end term examinations, no other exams are conducted here. But presentations and seminars are conducted in the department by the faculties.

Ravenshaw Radio ; it provides various opportunities and helps to learn and discuss about various issues with respected individuals.
Yoga Classes and various sports activities are there which helps an individual to be healthy and to discover his/her passion towards a particular sport.
The campus is very greenery and big . Basically we can say Ravenshaw University has a peaceful environment.

Dislikes

The security system of Ravenshaw University is not that good and non college students are allowed in the campus for which a little disturbance also occurs.
Political ideology clashes can be seen in the campus as there are various student party wings are present in the campus.
Student elections are not been held for which there is no one to represent the voices of students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In 4th year ( Ba.Bed ); we students are been send by the department for various study tours and internship to gain practical knowledge. The curriculum is designed in a way that it helps a student to have knowledge over various dynamic issues .
