Shivaji University Kolhapur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The placements in our college are actually very good especially for CS and IT branches……The placement process usually starts from the 7th semester when students become eligible for campus drives……Before that we get training sessions, aptitude practice and mock interviews which help a lot in preparing for real company rounds…… Many reputed companies visit the campus every year……Some of the top recruiters are Microsoft, Amazon, TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Capgemini, Wipro, Accenture and a few product-based startups too……Last year the placements were record breaking……One student got a package of 1.5 crore per annum and around 6 students got above 50 LPA from Walchand College of Engineering Sangli, which is honestly amazing…… The average package for CS and IT branches goes around 8–10 LPA while for other branches it’s around 4–5 LPA……Companies offer different roles like Software Developer, Data Analyst, System Engineer, and Project Associate……The percentage of students getting placed is also high……For CS and IT it’s almost 90–95%, and for core branches around 70% on average…… Even though placements are extraordinary for technical branches, core branch students also get good opportunities if they are consistent with their studies and skills……

Actually before choosing electronic engineering I have choose as an IT engineer as my dream of life , but my result of 10 th standard is not good I got only 85 percents then I have choose like merit choose me as an electronic branch so I have done my diploma in entc at college government polytechnic awasari , after that bcz of some family problem I didn't take addmission for a year , after 1 year of a gap I have decided to take a addmission and complete my further studies . I'm registered for addmission and finally I got my college.

Students are eligible for campus placement in 7th sem. There are several companies which are listed on the college official website prominent ones are Capgemini, TCS, Wipro , IBM , Honeywell and more . As of 2025 highest package reported by college is of 16.8 lpa and avarage package lies around 4-5 lpa . Almost 75-78 percent student are placed every year and fairly good percentage for soft branches .

In our college there is moderate placement the company which comes for recruitments are TCS, Mahindra, Wipro, Hexaware, Cognizant and other. This company comes in our college amd conducts the round for the placement

However the number of students placed on canpus is low because most student focus on M.Tech or higher studies rather than placements. Placement are best of D Y Patil College of engineering and technology kolhapur. After 6 th semester you are eligible to do internship and give interview for job offers. Highest package offered by company is 64 LPA and it is Adobe . Minimum packages offered are 6-7 LPA . approximately 70-80% of students get placed on campus. Companies that come to college for hiring are Adobe, juspay, infosys, gpay, google, amazon, microsoft etc

From the 6th semester students are eligible to give interview for many companies. College brought many companies like Infosys,TCS and other reputed company. Percentage should be greater than 60 percent

The placement in my college improving. Not much companies ch comming but some companies visits and this year 6 students placed from computer science and technology department. But for electrical and civil there is Good placement and companies.

Our college provide placement for us. For sixth semester they provide placement for students. And they work on improve skill of students which is required for placement like communication skill,behaviour in office

From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placement. The companies visited like Anvistar private ltd, Qspider, softeger etc. The highest package is 13. 20 lpa in GV vernova and average packa6is 3 to 4 lpa for other companies
