Firstly I described about college campus this college campus is very beautiful and fullfill with greenery
About teaching staff and non teaching staff is very kind about students issue.
That college have education friendly environment there is no vulgarity activity in venue of college

Dislikes

In this college campus area is very wide therefore chaos create in new student's for getting their classroom.
In that college classroom are old thype like our school.
There are one problem is portable water quality is low.

Admission:

I choose this college because low fees and acadmic quality . My first preference in college list is coep but i didn't got this but my cut off setted in this college and placement of this college of core and tech branches. You can take Admission in this college on the basis of mht cet and jee main and Admission process of this college smooth. my experience about this college till this is awesome.

Likes

Faculty is excellent, libraries are excellent
All the teachers are cooperative , and teaching is excellent
Highest package is 27 lakh, in year 2024

Dislikes

The number of students in classroom are much more than expected
Not much events in college ,i don't like this

Admission:

This college is tier 3 college, the package are not much but they are decent, as compare to other colleges I want nearby college so i have chosen this college Mht cet jee are the only two exams for admission. cse and aiml is most preferred course in our college

Very plenty of campus there is around 50 acre campus
In my college there are around 25 clubs for exploring various things
The faculties are very kind and supportive in nature

Dislikes

The network on the hostel is poor as they provide wifi but mobile network is weak

Admission:

I am apply vit pune over this college but I get realise the intake of both college vit pune intake is more than 5000 and here only 400 thats why I choose over this and the location is also nice not very expensive to live .

Overall good engagement with campus life
More than half of the faculty are PHD holders

Admission:

• My first priority was to get admission in KIT kolhapur as there campus is big and also teaching staff is good and also placement record is high but due to less marks in CET i have not get selected. After that college DY PATIL COLLEGE ENGINEERING is best for same reason but as KIT is old every student's first priority is KIT and after that DYP for same reason. • I have put first option of KIT but as it's merit is high i not get admission in that college. • Admission process is through CAP round as per merit . Some seats are reserved for Management quota students get admission from it also at low percentage. CAP students all government scholarship but students who get admission from Management quota not get any scholarship and have to pay full fees. Cut for CSE is above 90 for Open candidates. If you get admission through there is easy process just go and submit documents in college and secure admission by giving minimum fee of college and you will immediately get college ID card and dress code while admission process.

My Honest Experience at Walchand College

My experience at my college so far has been quite good overall. There are many positive things but also few areas where I feel improvement is needed.
The faculty members are quite experienced and helpful. Most of them teach very well and try to clear our doubts properly. Few professors are really motivating and guide us in projects or career related stuff too. But still I feel some teachers depend
the college is decent. Classrooms are clean and well maintained, labs have good equipment but few systems are outdated. Library has a nice collection of books and it’s peaceful place to study. The Wi-Fi and hostel facilities are also okay, though som

few teachers still follow old teaching methods and mostly read from slides instead of explaining concepts deeply. Also, sometimes practical sessions are not taken seriously, and the lab equipment are little outdated.
Mess food is not too good.......academics if extraordinary but lacks in quality of food

I chose this college because it gave me the best balance between academics, campus environment and affordability……I had applied to few other colleges too like MIT Pune, PICT Pune and Walchand College of Engineering Sangli……I got shortlisted for some of them but due to higher cutoffs and fees structure I finally decided to take admission here……The fees here is much more affordable compared to private colleges and still the teaching quality is quite good…… In comparison to other colleges……our college may not have as big name as top private ones but it still has decent placements and very supportive faculties……the crowd is also quite good and you get friendly environment……Infrastructure wise it’s average but clean and maintained……the only main difference is exposure and placements where big city colleges have more company drives…… Yes……I couldn’t make it to one or two top colleges because my CET rank was little short from their cutoff……I missed the cutoff by few marks only……also I didn’t appear for JEE Main seriously that time so couldn’t try NITs……but looking back I don’t regret much because the environment here suits me well and I’m learning a lot…… Talking about the admission process of my college……it is done through CAP round of the Maharashtra State CET Cell……Eligibility requires minimum 45% in 12th with PCM and a valid score in MHT-CET or JEE Main……Most students here are admitted through MHT-CET exam as it is the most preferred one……The cutoff varies every year depending on category and branch……For my branch the cutoff was around 87 percentile……

Campus placements is decent although overall lacks a bit
Attendance policy is definately strict and you don't get much time apart from academics
Not much coding related exposure in 1st and 2nd year

Admission:

It was alloted me during CAP round process so I didn't really had a choice. I had opportunity to make it to different college with less prefered branches although I choose computer engineering because of its existing demand in the market . The eligibility criteria for college is through exams like JEE mains , CET with above or around 97.8 percentile in CET and above 95 percentile in jee mains for top branches.

Likes

Good university and has a good number of placement
They conduct the lecture in a proper way with no off lectures
They also conduct the practical for the core subjects which is necessary

Dislikes

There is no off lectures for our personal work
No good lab for us to work in it with girls amd boys can seat
No good drinking water , the machine which is there that is not washed

I choose this college because this college is very nice and aslo has good curriculum evaluation and has all the subjects which is required for the degree and also extra subjects from other platforms like NPTEL etc..and also has minor subject of other department

Likes

Faculty is very supportive and approachable, Their mentorship has helped me grow both academically and personally
The Campus life is active and friendly .
The infrastructure is decent with labs,computer centers, library and classrooms.

Dislikes

The placements opportunities are better for Computer and IT branches
The Hostel facility is limited and mostly for local students, so outstation students have to depend on private hostels.
The extracurricular activities sometimes clash with academics

Admission:

I applied to other good college in Kolhapur , Like KIT and D. Y. Patil but their cutoffs were too high, so I coudn't secure admission there. For Computer Science Engineering(cse) in this college: General seat - The cutoff was 77(CET Score) , which I met. TFWS(Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme) seat : The cutoff was 86, which I also met. Since the cutoff here was comparatively lower, I got admission and decided to take it . Honestly I didnt have any other concrete plan for a college if I handnt gotten this one

Currently I am studying in D Y Patil College of engineering and technology kolhapur, and I fell that it is best college for technical degree . I like infrastructure and environment of the college, fresh environment and best infrastructure attract all
College also have best computer labs for my course. Well developed labs
College also provide best canteen and hygiene food .

Dislikes

As college is from 1980 . Lifts of college should be changed
Increase computer labs . There are but if more added it is convenient
College stationery area is need to be increased because there are so many students

I choose these college over other colleges because is it best of all . D Y Patil College of engineering and technology kolhapur have its own placement assistance and it is approved by NACC A+ and it is affiliated to Shivaji University Kolhapur. Highest package offered on campus by companies is 64 LPA and minimum packages are 5-6 LPA . college have best placement over other colleges. All faculty is PhD faculty. And best labs for learning over other colleges doesn't have that much services. Course offered by my college are Computer science and Engineering Computer science and Engineering ( Data science) Computer science and Engineering ( AIML) Mechanical engineering Chemical engineering Civil engineering etc . Admission process: Admission process of this college is through cap round conducted by Maharashtra government. Cut off of CSE 2025 for admission is 93 percentile for open categories and 91 percentile for other reserved category
