D.Y. Patil Education Society, popularly known as D.Y. Patil University, is a self-financed deemed to be University. The society started its Medical College in 1989. It is a reputed medical university of Maharashtra. The University got its name after the great and brilliant educationist Padmashree Dr. D.Y. Patil. It is providing with some of the finest and fantastic facilities by availing which a student can be able to become a great doctor in the near future. There are 14 collaborative faculty members and 20 full time research scholars working under difference projects sanctioned by DST, DRDO, CSIR, New Delhi and BRNS, Mumbai.

There are separate hostels for boys and girls. The buildings are close to each other on a walking distance within the campus and are named after legendary people. The hostels have secured Wi-Fi facility for students. |
