Life in RVSKVV

Likes

Since I'm pursuing Masters in biotechnology the lab facilities are very top notch.
There is aeroponics and hydroponics set up that gives us extra exposure to additional studies
The infrastructure is great and appreciable also very impressive

Dislikes

Not availability of the bus for the days scholars
No regular classes, lot of time gets wasted
Sometimes books are not available and it's gets hard sometimes

Placement Experience:

As it is government college the placement is very rare to be seen here the placement are not offered like other private Universities. But like any it provides students with the knowledge that helps them to land in fir very nice job opportunities

As a student of Biotech, we require lot of lab work and for that we need proper lab equipment which is provided in this college. The biotech lab are well developed and includes all machinery/ equipment one needed for research purposes.
fee is really minimal, its affordable . As a middle class person I can afford to spend this much money for pg course.
professors of biotech department are supportive to students and towards their career growth, as they provide every possible opportunity to grow.

Dislikes

The permanent faculties are very less. In almost all department there are only 2 or 3 permanent faculties , and remaining are guest faculties .
one professor looks up to multiple jobs which affects the student's study.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have a very keen interest in studying biotechnology for agricultural aspects. As biotech advances technological aspects of agriculture help in increased yield and better farming with reduced diseases and infestation. these aspects of biotech made me choose this course. In RVSKVV, Gwalior, there is a well-maintained lab for research work in agricultural technology. learning practically about DNA isolation techniques, and gene manipulation techniques using PCR and gel electrophoresis helps develop an in-depth experience in research work which prepares me for real-world research work. Improvement areas could include, hiring more lab professionals in the department.

It is located in main city and so close to bus stand and railway station
Its strictness about attendance and classes
Its Central library,which is so advanced and one of the best library in india

Dislikes

Lack of faculty , in every department which causes a lot of problem
Bad infrastructure of college, need renovation
No placement, atleast their should be placements after masters and phd

Course Curriculum Overview:

In course curriculum their are 4 main subjects of your department , 2 Minor subjects of some other department and 4 other subjects which are statistics, library, communication and technical writting and ipr , so everything is good with main stream subjects but minor subjects should be optional like other agriculture colleges ,and in other subjects we find subjects like library useless .

MSC vegetable science

college campus are very good and attractive
university library one of the large and very usefull
facutlies are good they are every subject cover

Dislikes

classes are not held every day not cover all subject
there is no class available for msc vegetable science
curriculam all subject not cover before exam

my intrest in horticulture science so that i choose for masters vegetable science, my professors conduct to practicals from time to time so that students can connect with real world for the future and exams are easy.

Overall a good place to get your dreams realised

Good infrastructure and quality campus life
Skilled and well behaved faculties and staffs
Placement offers are better than other universities

Dislikes

The location of college is not that good
No helpers are provided for field trials.
The administration is too strict and lazy

Placement Experience:

For bachelor's degrees, placements start from the 7th semester onwards and for master's degree students it starts from the 3rd semester onwards. For a bachelor's degrees, students' avg package is 2lacs and for master's degree students it ranges from 2.5 lacs to 6.4 lacs per annum. Almost 75% of students get placed

In love with this college since my first day

Remarks:

This college gave me some beautiful memories which i cherish every day. Faculty members were just like our family... Rules and regulations were there but this never affected me. I got some life time friends because of this college.
