The fees here is too low which is Rs.4380 of a year. Hostel fees Rs.4450 for a year. And here we can apply for NSP which is Rs.15000 per months. The overall monthly expenditure here should not be more only if you have alloted with hostel.

Course Curriculum Overview

M.Sc.Horticulture Horticulture curriculum is overall good but here in Master's the only cons is that they didn't follows ICAR syllabus. They have there own Horticultural Research Center for overall research practices which is excellent.

There are different functions that were held in previous years. The library is very good. The classrooms are clean and good. There is a sports meet that will happen every year and it's the best time of year. There is this Instagram page called cskhpkv memes which is run by students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

I think fees are very much according to a government college so fees should be reduced. So basically the cost of the master is approximately 4-5 lakhs. There are some scholarships which are provided by the college itself and by clearing if you can get a good amount of stipend.

Admission

The students seeking admission needs to be a graduate in any of the following streams- BBA(Agriculture), B.sc(Horticulture/Forestry), B.sc(ABM), B.sc( Biotech/Foodtech) etc. Home science degree students can also apply to the course. The students need to appear for a entrance exam known as CET in agriculture which is conducted by MAUEB, Pune. Merit list will be prepared and you will be called by the college authorities if you fulfill the necessary criteria and granted admission.

Faculty

The teachers are very helpful and friendly. They give us knowledge about the natural sciences & horticulture sector so that we learn the concepts of medicinal plants, vegetables, flowers, fruits, grape vine etc more efficiently and effectively. Theoretical lecture, farm practices and field visits are given to students to provide a practical exposure. Overall I would mention that the teachers are very supportive and are always open to clarify any kind of queries.
