Likes

Overall good college to discover yourself.
Infrastructure is also well and highly furbished.
Faculty is also nice and of helpful in nature.

Dislikes

Here one should have to walk too much which is not good.
Transport facility timing of University.
The whole paper work is done in Birla main campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

M.Sc.Horticulture Horticulture curriculum is overall good but here in Master's the only cons is that they didn't follows ICAR syllabus. They have there own Horticultural Research Center for overall research practices which is excellent.

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 4380 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees here is too low which is Rs.4380 of a year. Hostel fees Rs.4450 for a year. And here we can apply for NSP which is Rs.15000 per months. The overall monthly expenditure here should not be more only if you have alloted with hostel.

Campus Life

My overall campus life is too good because here various types of club activities going on all day long. Various conferences in different organization also going on every month which helps students in promoting their views.

Admission

I got admission here through CUET PG and the cutoff here is not too high as compared to other Universities. After cutoff offline counselling will be held which is smooth and the help desk here is overall good.

Teaching method is good some teacher are having very good knowledge and experience exam timing are good for everyone Not too much difficulty level of exam For my higher education i am taking admission for post graduation

Located in the picturesque hill station of Srinagar uttrakhand and Scenic view of campus
Recognized central university by acknowledge of University grant commision and NAAC A+ accreditation
Research opportunities, qualified faculties and diverse academic programs

Dislikes

Limited infrastructure and facilities due to hill station
Slow administrative processes due to large no. of students
Harsh weather conditions cold winters and location challenges

Placement Experience:

Placements are good in national companies From second last semester students are eligible for placement 50% of students gets placement Highest package offered in business management administration department I have also plans to get placement in agriculture sector

Admission:

The minimum requirement for admission in this subject is a graduate degree with 50% marks in relevant subjects. There is a 5% score exemption for SC/ST and OBC candidates. The institute takes a national level entrance exam for this program.

The study here can be a boon or a bane, depending on your perception

Remarks:

Management is one of the worst I've seen. College is great in the part of educational tours thourough which you'll cover almost all Forest types of the country. Also some scientists are amazing. And there are lot of opportunities for relevant projects. The worst part is university's unsupportive attitude, and bad management.

Excellent campus

Remarks:

In the past FRI was considered the temple of Forestry. I think it was because of some reason. Reason could be the management, administration and quality students. I'm hopeful that if quality students are provided with best management and administration, then it can regain it's old reputation. They will have to be a bit more serious for quality syllabus as well as faculty. Seriousness is not just limiting attendence to 75% or more. Moreover quality doesn't come from attendence or something.

Best college for those student who wanna pursue their career in forestry sector or wood industry as their are juat four branches in university with very limited seats so you get a better opportunity to prove yourself and gain knowledge.

A college amidst serine nature.

Remarks:

FRI is best environmental centric institute institute in Indian sub-continent. They offer a good quality of teaching, at an affordable price, with a marvellous infrastructure. On top of that, they also try to prompt students towards the environmental concerns.

A forester's dream

Remarks:

Let's start with the negative remarks. The attendance policy is something that needs to be changed. The scope for research and extra curricular activities gets hampered due to the attendance policy. The hostel facilities needs to be improved and certain hostel regulations needs to be changed. The positive side obviously would include the faculty available and the experience and exposure they share. The scope of higher studies is good enough.

Good college

Remarks:

The college is maintaing it's reputation at the national level since 2002. It has been ranked 1st in the state of Uttarakhand for last consecutive 5 years. It also provides a good environment, which makes the study more comfortable and relaxing.

Remarks:

College have no 1 beautiful campus and friendly enivonment, but its forestry college in uttrakhand so you have to deal with snakes,monkey other animals in regular basis. And college hostle is quit far from college campus

I applied the many another college like a Central University of Haryana and Central University of Karnataka but I choose this college because this in this fee structure the very loafer structure are available for BTech department less than 100000 for all entire 4 year.
