MCNUJC Bhopal is one of the premier educational institutions of the country, particularly in the field of Journalism, Broadcast Journalism, Advertising and Public relations, Electronic Media, New Media, Cinema Studies, Computer Applications, Media Business Management, Library and Information Sciences and Communication Research. Across its many campuses throughout North India, Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication Bhopal offers courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, PG diploma, and PhD level.

Applications are usually released in the month of April/May and are available for a period of three months thereafter. The entrance examination is held soon after, with admit cards being released online after applications are scrutinized on the basis of eligibility. The selection process consists of admission counseling for those candidates that are shortlisted on the basis of performance in the entrance examination and personal interview, which is conducted by the university. There may be multiple rounds of this counseling. Additionally, relaxations are given to those candidates applying under reserved categories and reservations are in accordance with the regulations of the Government of India.

MCNUJC Bhopal Admission Process 2024

Only Online applications are accepted for admission and the application is valid only after receiving the prescribed fees.
For filling online application, aspirants must visit the University website www.mcu.ac.in or directly go to https://mcrpv.mponline.gov.in/
A candidate can apply for any number of programs. However, he/she must fill separate forms and pay the requisite fees for each program.
Online application fee for the admission is Rs. 500/- (Rs. 50/- portal fee extra) for general and OBC candidates. For SC/ST candidates of M.P., application fee is waved off only portal fee Rs. 50 is payable.
A candidate can apply for any number of programs. For each additional program, a separate form of Rs.300/- (Rs. 50/- portal fee extra) is to be submitted. SC/ST candidates of M.P. can apply for any number of programs with only portal fee Rs. 50 is chargeable for each program.
Admission to UG courses will be given on the basis of merit list prepared by adding 70% of the marks obtained in class 12th and 30% of the marks obtained in online interview. Similarly, for admission to postgraduate courses, the merit list will be prepared after adding 70% of the marks obtained in the first and second year of graduation (if there is a semester process, then the marks obtained in the first four semesters and annual examination, then in this case the marks obtained in the first two years) and 30% of the marks obtained in the online interview.
Admission to the Diploma programs of the University will be done on the basis of merit based on the marks obtained by the applicant in the qualifying examination. The application fee for these courses will be Rs.300/- (Portal fee Rs.50/- extra) payable online. For additional courses, the application fee will be Rs.200/- (portal fee Rs.50/- in addition). SC/ST candidates of Madhya Pradesh can apply free of cost but Rs.50/- portal fee will be payable.
Students whose marks are in Grade/CGPA/SGPA should note that while filling the online application form they pay attention that their Grade/CGPA/SGPA are converted to Marks/Percentage. If he/she will not fill online application form in Marks or percentage their form will be rejected.
University will not accept any unpaid application form; therefore, each applicant must ensure that he/she has summited the online fees and got the receipt.
After the interview, it will be mandatory for the selected students to submit their marksheet, caste certificate, and other necessary certificates for the admission process through e-mail account in the concerned department within 3 days as per instructions.

MCNUJC Bhopal B.Tech Admission 2024

The University also offers B.Tech. courses, along with the facility of Lateral Entry, with a specialization in Printing and Packaging. Applications are available for a given period of time through the online portal on the official university website. The details regarding admission to this course are as stipulated below.

MCNUJC Bhopal BTech Eligibility

Candidates interested in pursuing their BTech from MCNUJC must fulfill the following criteria to be deemed eligible.

A pass (45%) at the 10+2 level from any recognized board, i.e. CBSE / ISC / State Board or the equivalent.
Relaxation of 5% is given to reserved category applicants as per government regulations at the discretion of the university.
Mathematics and Physics must have been core subjects at the +2 level, along with either Chemistry or Computer Science.

MCNUJC Bhopal BTech Selection Criteria

The selection process consists of an entrance examination that is conducted annually by the university.

The B.Tech. courses come under Group G of the university system.
Samples of past year question papers are available online, which show that it covers a number of fields including general knowledge and relevant subject knowledge.
Final selection is done through the process of Counselling for those selected on the basis of academic percentage, entrance test scores and personal interview, with due consideration being given to reservation policies.

MCNUJC Bhopal MBA Admission 2024

Those candidates who wish to apply for the MBA course can do so through the online portal on the official university website after the stipulated release of applications. The course is offered in Media Business Management with 60 seats.

MCNUJC Bhopal MBA Eligibility

Candidates interested in pursuing their MBA from MCNUJC must fulfill the following criteria to be deemed eligible.

A minimum of 50% at the undergraduate level from any recognized university, with relevant subjects being given preference.
A 5% relaxation will be given to those from reserved categories, making the minimum requirement a 45% at the undergraduate level.

The selection process consists of an entrance examination that is conducted annually by the university.

The MBA courses come under Group D of the system followed at this university.

MCNUJC Bhopal Reservation Criteria 2024

The University follows the reservation policy framed by the government of Madhya Pradesh for admissions in different programs.
40% seats in each program are reserved for Madhya Pradesh domicile students.
Seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Category students as per the rules laid down by the government of Madhya Pradesh.
30% seats in each category are reserved for female candidates.
Reservation is also provided to physically challenged students and applicants from Jammu & Kashmir, as per the guidelines of the government of Madhya Pradesh.
Students seeking admissions under the quota concerned will have to submit essential documents at the time of admissions, otherwise their claim for the seat won’t be considered.
