How good is CUSAT MBA?

CUSAT Kochi offers two types of MBA programs, Full-Time and Part-Time for a duration of two years and three years respectively. The full-time MBA offers specialization in Marketing, Finance, HRM, and International Marketing among a few others while the part-time evening professional MBA program offers a specialization in International Business and Travel and Tourism. The MBA program offered by CUSAT is an AICTE-approved two-year full-time PG program. The primary goal is to offer opportunities for pursuing a career in business. Curriculum: The curriculum is well-structured such that students are able to develop a thorough grasp of the basic concepts and techniques of management as well as the ability to practice them. During their final year, students work on a two-month independent research study-cum-internship at a registered corporation. Admission: Admissions into the program are done on the basis of cores in management entrance tests - KMAT of Kerala or C-MAT of AICTE or CAT of IIMs followed by a GD and PI round conducted by the university. Placements: CUSAT MBA placement scenario is decent and this year the CUSAT School of Management Studies recorded the highest and average packages at INR 20.14 LPA and INR 9.32 LPA, respectively. The institute maintains a 95% placement record every academic year and the students received 4 International offers also. A look into inside of School of Management Studies, CUSAT

The college timing is 9.30 to 5.30 ,so its hectic and its more a kind of bookish learning

Fees and Financial Aid:

Each semester the fee is 38,000. We havebto pay as 4 times in 4 semesters. For SC/St, the fee is ?300. They do get scholarship of E grantz hence no fee is being collected from them. Remaining students are eligible to apply for any other national or state level scholarship as per their eligibility. I have got two scholarships in one year and that together is about ?27000. Some of the eligible scholarships are: Post graduate scholarship under NSP by central Gov:15k per month CH mohammed koya scholarship for minorities:13k/year as hostel stipend or 7k for professional course Pravasi scholarship by Norka:15k per year Internship: SMS do have campus placement for intenrship too. I got through campus placement at ICICI mutual fund with a stipend of 15k/month. Roles and Responsibilities: We do we have many clubs and associations, and do get opportunities via that. I'm the vice president of speak out club. Also, we do have Marketing forum for college.

The fee structure is very low since it is a state-run university. The students belonging to SC/ST/OBC(H)/OEC have access to all opportunities for scholarships and other financial assistance like education loans are also availed.

Cochin University of Science and Technology- MBA Student Journey

I paid my fees in 2 instalments, which I paid each term and the total summed up to Rs.64500. My institute also offered various scholarships based on the need and merits and some State Sponsored Schemes for the SC/ST/OBC categories were also available.

I got scholarship since I had scored high percentile in CAT and also Cusat. The loan is very easily available in all banks. I took loan of rs 100000 from SBI that too with low rate of interest. The college is also provides rebate to lower class people.

Good management

There are scholarships but as I belong to general category I can't avail any scholarships. Scholarships based on casts should be stopped. There are people who belong to higher cast but they are poor so I hope in future the government of India will rectify this issue.

Best Management Institute in Kerala

Merit cum means scholarship and Egrants offered are few scholarship available in Cochin University of Science and Technology. Scholarships and fees reduction are available for obc and SC/ST students.
