Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants seeking admission to 4 year Full-time B.Tech Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

Academic Requirement:

Pass in Plus Two Examination of the State of Kerala or any other examination accepted as equivalent thereto with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects securing a separate minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.
Candidates belonging to Kerala Scheduled Caste (KSC) and Kerala Scheduled Tribe (KST) communities are eligible for applying, if they have minimum pass marks in the qualifying examination.
SEBC candidates of Kerala State belonging to non-creamy layer category are eligible for 5% relaxation in the minimum required marks for the qualifying examination.

The real Cusat

Likes

The major thing I like about my college is everything is available here. Since the colleges nearby town , you get everything you need is easily.
Buses train stations metro stations near by so travelling is very affordable and comfortable

Dislikes

The results here are delayed a lot with result difficulty for students who have back papers.
The university is has large area so students without vehicles have to walk a lot within the campus

Fees and Financial Aid:

There are two type of fee structure follow in CUSAT . For state merit students the fees is about 30000 for semester and for all India students the fee is about 48000 per semester. The reservation students have a lower fee. The tuition fee is exempted for certain reservation categories. There is egrantz scholarship available for EWS students there are certain other national scholarships for girls like Pragati.

CUSAT for BTECH CS, EC and Safety is a good option.

Likes

The teaches, they are very good at their job and caring.
Good atmosphere, good campus and faculty

Dislikes

Some parts of the campus are not maintained
Some teachers are ignorant, and too fast paced

Fees and Financial Aid:

I will be paying 54000 per year, there anre many scholarships available including from Kerala government and other organisations for OBC, GEN-EWS, SC and ST, they cover everything including private hostels and mess fees.

Good campus

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fee structure for me was about 106000 since I am from NRI quota. But my batch me how about 40000+ foreach year. And those who have reservation has lesser fees. Placement are going on for each department .

SOE cusat Review

Fees and Financial Aid:

Fee is huge. They increase it sem by sem. And they dont provide any facility. When we ask for any thing they say that we dont have fund. We dont know where its going. 7th sem we had a fee of Rs 48920/-. Unneseccary they increase the fee. 1st sem we had a fee of Rs430005/-.

The Tuition fees are basically 2 types in SOE all India merit where semester fee is 50000 and state merit which is of purely for Keralites of 25K in a Semester. There are many scholarships in CUSAT state wise and national wise.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fee structure has three parts, one for the merit students, one for the non merit students and one for the nris. The merit students are having 35000 per year as fees and 70000 for nri as well as non merit. Various scholarships are also available for both.

The fees for state merit seats is 35000 per year. Students who are eligible can also avail scholarships.There would be additional exam fees and also you need to pay some other fees to the college yearly for senate, library and other facilities which does not cost much.

EEE CUSAT SOE, THRIKKAKARA

Likes

The campus is near Metro station which connects almost all major parts of Kochi
The library facilities, almost all the study materials are available and free wifi is provided

Dislikes

Need a vehicle to explore the campus, it's very vast.
Life in Kochi is expensive and we need to manage our expenses carefully

Fees and Financial Aid:

The tuition fee for me is about 28,000 ( State merit) and for All India Merit it's about 51,000 per sem. Sem exam fee will be about 2,100. There are many scholarships like Pre Metric scholarship are available.

There are two semester in each year in each year we need to pay an amount of 24000. There are seven kind of scholarships that are provided by the Kerala State Government but all the college of the based on the reservation or the caste. If we are SC ST cast then we don't need to pay any kind of fees in college. Major scholarships are egrants, sc/st scholarships

Which is best, civil or EEE in CUSAT?

Out of the two branches, Civil Engineering from CUSAT is the better choice. The following reasons will justify the choice.

The median package offered by the branch is INR 4.5 LPA.
The branch has a cut-off of 2313, i.e., quality people get admitted.

The Civil Department has excellent and experienced faculty. They provide quality learning to their students.

The campus is vast, spread across 180 acres. You can enjoy life with academics.

There are extra-curricular and practical learning opportunities throughout the years.

The curriculum followed by CUSAT is quite decent and well-framed. It is considered to be more rigid than other universities. But it is not very difficult to grasp if you put in hard work.

Civil Engineering packages are not excellent across India, but CUSAT is a preferred choice.Civil Engineering is decent for the students if they want to work in core companies. However, if you are choosing EEE, then you can appear for civil services examinations and a job guarantee will be there.
