UAS Dharwad Admission 2025: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Application Process, Selection Criteria

B.Sc. (Agri)	Candidate should have passed two years PUC science examination which is conducted by Department of Pre-University Education, Government of Karnataka OR he/she must have completed an examination holding equivalent value with the subject combination of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and a science subject OR He/she has passed two years PUC science examination of the Department of Pre-University Education, Government of Karnataka with Inter-Agriculture as a main subject. Note: If he/she is a Kashmiri migrant applying for admission, the directions issued by the Government of Karnataka will be followed. If he/she has cleared ICAR, the admission will be governed by the guidelines of ICAR. He/she does not have to take the CET examination which is conducted by the Government of Karnataka.	The admission is made on the basis of academic performance of the candidate in PCB in II year PUC Science examination. The admission procedure is subjected to the verification process of original marks card and other details mentioned in the application such as seat availability, fee payment by the last date issued by the university, registration of courses by the last date to do the same, submission of Transfer Certificate by the candidate from the previous institute. The admission procedure is strictly merit based subjected to fulfillment of the above mentioned guidelines, except for the reserved seats meant for agriculturists or children / a ward of agriculturists and ICAR nominees. In case of unfilled reserved seats, these shall admit students from the general category, again based upon the above set guidelines.

Agricultural Economics	Candidate should hold a graduation degree in the respective field that he/she is interested to pursue further, from a recognized university and must maintain an overall minimum CGPA / OGPA 2.25/4.00 or 6.00 / 10.00 or an equivalent CGPA / OGPA. For SC/ST/Cat-I candidates, they should have completed post graduation and must be clear pass.	Candidates who have completed their bachelors from any recognized State / Central Governments and Autonomous institutions, applying for admission to PG programs can apply for only one subject group. He/she is required to appear for written examination of total 50 marks in the selected group inclusive of all the listed subjects. The grouping of subjects is given in the prospectus in detail.

Ph.D Agribusines Management	Candidate should hold a postgraduate degree with a minimum CGPA / OGPA of 2.50/4.00 or 6.50 / 10.00 or an equivalent CGPA / OGPA OR he/she holds a degree of equivalent value from a recognized Agricultural University in the subject of interest that the candidate wishes to pursue research in. For SC/ST/Cat-I candidates, they should have completed post graduation and must be clear pass. If the candidates who seek admission in Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, hold a post graduation degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology / Plant Biotechnology / Genetics and Plant Breeding/ Agricultural Botany / Agricultural Microbiology / Plant Pathology / Agricultural Entomology / Crop Physiology / Nematology / Agronomy / Horticultural Sciences / Seed Science and Technology/ Forestry / Plant Biochemistry / Soil Science, can apply. If he/she holds a post graduation degree in Agricultural Marketing and Co-op./Agricultural Economics/Agribusiness Management from a recognized Agricultural University, he/she is eligible to apply for Ph.D. in Agribusiness Management.

My experience at Vijayapur college

In Karnataka, one can get seat in agriculture college through K-CET. We are supposed to give priority order for our colleges. So my priority order was - 1.University of agricultural Sciences, Dharwad 2.College of Agriculture, Vijayapura 3.University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur 4.GKVK, Bengaluru.. So i got into college of agriculture vijayapura. I couldn't make it to UASD dharwad since the cut off was a big high. I put vijayapura college as my 2nd priority because it is the sub campus of dharwad university itself. Uasd was my frst prefereed university because i have heard a lot about its reputation and faculty and campus life. Once I got selected for the college i had to visit college for further admission process by submitting all the necessary documents, filling out the admission form, paying the 1st semester fees.

Admission process went through Kcet board. My college rank all over India is 9th and in Karnataka it stands to first among other Agri colleges. Based on my cet ranking I got this college. I thought there will be campus selection , but my assumption went wrong. Admission process - first one should wrote KCET exam. After based on ranking one can go for counseling. Otherwise through management seat one can easily get admission.

My college my memories

I have got admission in mahatma phule krishi vidhyapeeth in first round of counseling but compared to that college university of Agricultural sciences Dharwad is practically good in teaching new methods and technologies,this college had more Agricultural lands compared to other colleges I dont got any rejection from other colleges The admission process of my college has many ways the entrance tests conducted by KCET,ICAR,NRI quota etc ,every student should have atleast 50%of marks in entrance test

I got this cource . But I also applied for the veterinary. Forestry. Horticulture and some engineering courses but I like this bsc Hons agriculture more that's why I selected this cource. I got this college in all kcet rounds

The eligibility to this colleges through kcet and ICAR the exam pattern is a little bit term but it is okay to crack it's some cutoffice nearly 2000 rank for ICAR and kcet is like the state examination
