My experience at Manipal Academy of Higher Education

Likes

The teachers were definitely amazing and experienced
There were fun college events to take part in
Manipal is a fun place to live in, its very safe

Dislikes

After a point, it gets repetitive and little boring but still manageable since you can always visit other places
Honestly, not many things i dislike about my college

Placement Experience:

There are a few placement options, however, i personally did not look into it much since i did not want to work after college. i wanted to focus on clearing my remaining acca exams. Few of my friends did get placements for around 50k per month and some got for 3 lakhs per annum as well.

Likes

The faculty here is well experienced and so qualified! They teach amazingly.
The campus is vibrant and lively and the people here are approachable.
The infrastructure of the whole campus is amazing and well maintained.

Dislikes

A bit low in discipline and sometimes people are a bit judgy.

Placement Experience:

Bcom program has been newly introduced in mahe so there are not so much placements yet but yes manipal gains a lot of attention of recruiters due to quality of education that they provide. Manipal also provides ACCA degree along with the bcom degree which will be beneficial in the future. My plans after my bcom degree is to give cat and apply for iim again since it's my dream.

MAHE(DoC)-In my eyes

Likes

MAHE Manipal is the best experience for a student. the campus life is always happening. There is something or the other to keep is entertained
The faculties are well experienced and most of them are either CA’s or have a doctorate..they are friendly too
Technological improvements are immense in MAHE. we write exams in epad which might seem difficult at first but is very good

Dislikes

All the buildings and infrastructure of MAHE is too good expect for our department of commerce which is dislike

Placement Experience:

Placements are given in n DoC..there is a placement cell which makes sure good compaies come for recruitment..this year i have seen students receive a package of 3-5lpa for bcom professional course..i have heard thr bba placements are better than bcom

From the 4th semiseter students are eligible for campus placement Some companies are EY global,KPMG, Deloit etc.Salary pacakges varies as per candidates interview performance.about 25-60% students get placement.My plan after graduation is to build my skills and carrer in a reputed company.

My college experience unveiled

Likes

Campus infrastructure and the sports facility and the hostel rooms and food
Faculty was even better compared to other clg
Campus placements were very well placed in the high companies

Dislikes

There is nothing disliked in the college

I chose this course because the course offers you more scope to conquer the world Faculty will be 120: 200 Everyone did their master's and Ph.D. in their expected category There are two types of one id odd term and even term odd term consisting of 4 months and even consists of 6 months

Likes

There is a big library where we can access all kinds of books.
All the types sports courts are available inside the campus.
Campus placements are good after they finish 3years.

Dislikes

Environment is little average near the hostels.
The surroundings are not kept so clean and healthy .
The food provided in the mess is not so good.

Students are eligible for campus placements once they finish three years of this course and the campus provides us the campus placements from different companies. Almost 90% of the students are getting placement based on their skills.

Placement Experience:

The last year students of the respected department will be eligible for campus placement. Mostly E&Y has the most number of offers to the students with a package of 30k - 40k per month. Mostly 30- 40 students from a class get placement from a class. I am planning to do ACCA after my degree completion.

Manipal Academy of Higher Education provides immense exposure to its students. It's a youth hub and that's what attracted me the most. I wanted to study somewhere in Karnataka and this was one of the best options I had. The course is a great option for the commerce students because of its opportunities.

Remarks:

The college is an overall good college which provides a holistic development for the students. The students find themselves improving after coming to city of Manipal, a small place far away from Udupi in Karnataka.The students are challenged daily inorder for them to improve and be the best. The holidays offered by the colleges are considered to be enough for the students to visit their hometowns and take a relaxation period from the studies conducted in the college.
