The college is good when it comes to club we have great fest which is for 3 days with full enjoyment.
The placements are very nice and the average has been increasing every year.
Iiit bangalore shines as a beacon of academic excellence, fostering an environment tailored for dedicated students with a penchant for studying and grinding.

My Experience in IIIT-B for Data Science

Likes

The course which i have joined was detailed and in-depth.
The professors where experience and very intuitive
The course covered all important topic related to data science

Dislikes

There where some topic which could have provided with more in-depth knowledge.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course has a proper roadmap for covering the entire course of data science. The course is being prepared such that it covers all industries related to the topic. There could be improvement in Power BI and Tableau-related topics. The exam difficulty was average to moderate.

Likes

I like Infin8 fest in our college I enjoyed a lot in the fest there will be a dj night.
Sports fests are good at our college. I enjoy participating in this.
I like curriculum here . It is so good that you will learn what is needed for industry.

Dislikes

I don't like food here . I don't say it's bad but I don't like some of my friends like mess food
College life is so hectic after you move to 2nd year
I don't like campus because it is so small

Placement Experience:

Placements are one of the best in India. The average package for CSE is around 35 lakh and for ECE it is around 29 lakh CTC per annum. Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Intel, Qualcomm and many big MNC come to recruit. 100 percent placement percentage. I would like to do a Job in a good MNC after graduation.

IiitB at its best and worst

Likes

Sports fests called spandan , premier league -1, premier league-2
Gym and library equipments and seniors will be highly good
Annual cultural fest called Infini8 which will be held in February

Dislikes

Food as it is not spicy in the mess and will be led salty
Curfew timings as it is from 10.30pm to 5 am
Campus size is very less which i deeply regret

Placement Experience:

I will rate placements to good compared to rather iits . The placement ratio is almost 100% every year. The average package will be 30lpa every year for ece and 28lpa for ece guys. The companies which comes to college will have good reputation in society.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very good. It covers every part that is important for student's career .Also enhancing one's speaking, coding and technical skill set. There are 4-5 courses in a semester usually.

My college review of IIIT Bangalore

Likes

Mess food is very good and the varieties are also very good.
the student culture is very nice and the seniors are very helpful
There are plenty of good sports facilities.

Dislikes

Some days, the mess food quality is subpar.
The small campus size is a bit disappointing at times.
Some of the seniors are not very helpful and they're rude.

Placement Experience:

The placements are very nice and the average has been increasing every year. The average placement is currently at 24 lakhs CTC. The placement committee on the college is very helpful and the quality of companies visiting every year is very good.

College Review(IIITB)

Likes

I liked the food here and how friendly all seniors are. The gym is very good after renovation and professors are very friendly and knowledgable(But i personally don't like some).
The clubs do a good job and the fests are good. very competitive environment
The Spiritual club sessions which helps increase concentration are held every week and we can go attend those.

Dislikes

majority just study all day and very hectic environment
gender ratio is bad with 1 girl every 17 boys
Exam held in a basement where sometimes power goes off and irritates us a lot

Placement Experience:

from 4th year students can sit for internships(6 months) 5th year -> internship and placement Companies: Texas instrument, IBM, Microsoft, Google, Amazon Highest package CSE: 2.1cr CTC abroad 90lpa CTC in india (CTC means you wont get the full salary to yourself. You basically get 60% of it)

Campus life and curriculum which is so perfect

Mess food you kinda get bored after few days

The course is good with good professors , curriculum is decent but the competition is too heavy .The frequency of exams are also decent so that students are with in touch of studies without wasting time

Relatively IIITB has the best curriculum in Bangalore .This factor along with package attracts a lot of students . The course curicullum could work on delivery and pace of professors but lokking at the bigger picture IIITB offers a better and real world IT curicullum

Enterpenuer who guides us to apply for the roles in different companies.

placement support team and selection process
Not all the companies finish the complete process for the role they have provided under the campus portal.

Placement Experience:

Placements provided on the campus are average and students completing half of the course can avail for the placements. cognizant is one the company that offers role of Google adwords and DWAO is another one that offers the role of analyst trainee, likewise there are around 100+ companies that offers roles to students of our campus. the highest package offered is around 350000 and the lowest is 180000 for a fresher. I think around 20 to 30 percent of people get placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course include basic to advanced level of knowledge ,course offer various specialization also like Deep learning , NLP , Data enginnering , business analytics you can choose your specialization according to your interest , if you are new to data science field this course is good to go , all the faculty members are very knowledgeable
