National Law University (NLU) is renowned for its top-tier faculty and quality of education, supplemented by regular guest lectures from industry experts. Students pay a tuition fee of 84,000 INR per semester, which is consistent with other similar institutions. NLUs are well-regarded in the job market, offering students better placement opportunities compared to non-NLU students. Each NLU has an Internship and Placement Committee dedicated to helping students secure internships and job placements.
Although first-year paid internships are rare, students generally qualify for paid opportunities after completing a few internships. Campus placements begin in the 9th semester, with minimum offers starting at 50,000 INR, depending on GPA and academic performance. Students with an 80-90% academic record tend to have strong placement prospects. The university also offers internships with judges, advocates, and firms, emphasizing practical tasks. While NLUs do not provide their own scholarships, they assist students in accessing external scholarships, such as the Foundation for Excellence scholarship program for 2023-24.
Additionally, NLUs support participation in international moot court competitions. Despite rising tuition fees, the university actively facilitates scholarships and internship opportunities for its students.
