- From 2nd year students get their own rooms in hostels
- The social life of campus is very healthy and interactive

- college could build some infrastructures and should have some more equipments
- The course curriculum seems somewhat irrelevant
- Some faculties seem somewhat like they know nothing and God knows how did they get into this profession

- Hostels infrastructure is quite good and better than majority of the nits .
- Many clubs are there like sports club (cricket ,badminton ,chess, volleyball, tt, tennis , football etc) Cultural clubs , NSS, coding club , technical club, photography club and many more you will love to explore all the clubs and their seniors.
- The best part about our college is placement. Almost all students gets placed with a good package > 6lpa and placement percentage is above 96%. Nit jamshedpur is known for its core placement so even if you have no interest in it you can get placed..
Dislikes
- Mess food is quite below avg. So do majority of the colleges so that's a given thing in engineering colleges.
- You have to greet your seniors and always use sir/mam which sometimes is quite irritating.
- Campus life is very avg and the connectivity to the main city and market is very bad . Although college does provide bus daily but the bus is inconsistent and sometimes everyone can't fit inside so.

What is your review about NIT Jamshedpur?
My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.
Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.
Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.
Academics
- The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
- Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
- The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.

Extracurricular Activities:
The TechnoManagement fest, Ojass, and Cultural fest, Culfest are the major events of the institute. There are several automobile teams as well, like Team Phoenix, the aircraft team; Team Rays, the hybrid car team and Team Daksh, Off road car team.
