NIT Hamirpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The only disadvantage I find is lack of a City in the surrounding. The nearby city is Chandigarh but it takes 6 hours to reach by bus. Hamirpur is a small hamlet and very remotely located.

My overall experience of being a student of NIT HAMIRPUR is quite good and personally, I recommend it to other students also who are searching for good colleges and the better environment.

The placement is excellent. TPO (training and placement officer) is assigned among faculty and TPR (training and placement representative) is selected among students. These people take care of contacting various companies for visiting the campus for placements. Almost 100% of students are placed and packages used to be varying from 3.5lpa to 12 LPA in 2012. For mechanical engineering, Maruti, Ashok Leyland, hero, Honda, Tata motor, used to visit. In PSU, HPCL, BPCL, KROBHCO, BELL, ONGC visited for campus placement.

overall this college is awesome.i am happy to be here.yaaa here no ice in winter which is biggest mistake some students think.weather is pleasant also in summer .nice place overall.

College is quite nice with excellent Infrastructure & good culture of Open Source & Competitive Coding. In fact recently with the launch of several startups from college, the Entrepreneurship culture is also blooming. The field of Research needs some extent of development

As per the good remarks, college is fully ragging free, has high speed internet connection, one of the best infrastructure and offcourse girls are very beautiful (for boys only, LOL). Talking about bad remarks, we need to take stairs everywhere since college is located at a hilly area. Bikes are not allowed in the college( may be good remark in bad) and nothing else.

Everything is great about NIT Hamirpur. Great learning environment, do n learn yourself type of environment.

I took JEE mains entrance test and I got 18875 AIR in that and I opted this college because of its beautiful location and culture. The National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur is a public engineering college in Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, India. It is one of the thirty one National Institutes of Technology established , administrated and funded by MHRD.

Overall the college is above average but there is some problems such that some time conflicts break out between students and teachers. But it is very minor problem because situation gets alright very quickly. So over all college is nice.

In JEE mains 2016, i got 23 k rank. So, i got seat in this college in civil engineering branch. For this rank i got 136 marks in JEE and 98% in state board.
