Great experience in this college

Likes

College bas good infrastructure according to the other hilly region campus. It is in agood location with a great greenery
As the campus is in remote are but the college inside has some shops for the grocery are

Placement Experience:

The placement stats according to last year is 80% and as the recession is going on this decreased a little but but still the companies are coming fir the on campus placement you will get opportunity to sit in placement soon but at the end it is in your hand to grap the offer.

Honest opinion about juit

Likes

Most of the faculty is good over here, they are ready to help you outside the class as well. Many of them have good teaching experience
Campus is really at a peaceful and quiet place. Best for the studies. There is greenery all over and around the college
All the basic necessities are provided around and in the campus.

Dislikes

There is being a lot of attendance restrictions. They are very strict about the attendance
The campus is in very secluded area so for anything more than basic you either have to go solan or shimla
The on campus placement are not really good or appreciable

Placement Experience:

I want to pursue Mtech after completing my graduation but employment or placements of this college is not some thing I would highly appreciate as most of the companies that come over the campus is mass recruiter the top not companies are not coming here so but the placement rate is quite average of this college many of the students get place in some what or the other company

Reality of college life.

Likes

Academic wise this is a very good college. There labs are upto date and you find all the required things.
Hostel rooms are spacious. You don't have any problem. Mess food is average.
Teachers are very supportive and helpful you in every situation. You just have to reach out.

Dislikes

Other branch students don't respect biotech students. Mainly CS students they think they are superior.
Attendance you have to maintain 75% otherwise they don't allow you to sit in examination
Lack of fest . There are mainly 2 big fest organised.

Placement Experience:

Mainly companies come for CS students and very less for biotech industry. Biotech students are also eligible to sit in placement in IT industry. There are very less core companies for biotechnology. Highest package for biotech industry is 10 LPA and average is 5-6LPA . Almost 80% students get placed.Either you go for higher studies to get good placement in core companies.

A Decent University

Likes

One of the standout features of is the remarkable infrastructure. From modern classrooms to laboratories, libraries, auditorium,etc. the college provides students with good facilities.
At JUIT, students are presented with plenty of learning opportunities. Through interactive lectures and engaging discussions, students are empowered to develop the skills needed to succeed.One aspect is keeping the curriculum updated and relevant.
There are many fests and events held throughout the academic year. These events provide students with opportunities to showcase their talents and also make the college experience memorable.

Dislikes

One area that could use improvement is the sports facilities. Although the college provides some amenities for sports, there is a lack of diverse facilities and resources for students interested in athletics.
A point of concern for many students is the relatively high cost of tuition and hostel fees. The financial burden associated with attending JUIT can be bad for some students and their families.
Another aspect that could be better is the quality of the mess food. There is room for improvement in terms of variety, taste, and overall quality.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement from 7th semester of the course. Companies come for both technical and non technical roles. There are not a lot of opportunities this year due to recession. Highest package was 21 lpa

Campus placements typically begin in the 6th semester at JUIT Solan. Companies like Infosys, TCS, and Wipro visit, offering a range of roles with varying packages. The highest package can go up to 10-15 LPA, while the average package is around 4-6 LPA. Around 70-80% of students secure placements annually.

Campus is very beautiful. It also comes in Top 10 beautiful campuses of India

Dislikes

Placements are very poor. No major good companies come to our college
The good and well educated faculty is leaving the college.

Placement Experience:

Placement cell is very poor. No good companies come to our college as if it is not in IT city + it is in hilly area therefore no major good companies come to our college. Students with 9+ CGPA goes to Jaypee Noida for placements

Insightful reflections of JUIT

Likes

Campus is settled in an outskirts which I found peaceful
Good companies are coming for the placements such as nesle
Faculty is very supportive and qualified

Dislikes

Lot to walk, cannot use lift in the acads
Some of the subjects should be change in the curriculum
Over strictness and security in the campus, Too many boundations for only girls.

Placement Experience:

The placements are average, it mostly depends on a single individual according to their cgpa. In 7th semester the students become eligible for the placements. The companies are, Nestle, zop smart, Infosys, ZE, Accenture.

Placement of our college are okaish depends upon the skills of the students . Students can apply off campus as well as on campus are already there. 80 percent of the students get placed every year. My plans after getting the degree are mba

Likes

The college life of the institution is hands down one of the best parts of the institution.
The seniors are helpful and provide insightful information to juniors.
The faculty is helpful and always work towards the progress of students

Dislikes

The campus can be little small for some students.
There are not many places to visit outside the campus.

Placement Experience:

The plament rate is increasing at a great pace. The average package rate I'd 7LPA. The University has great resources and all those who are interested in placement can easily get a really good offer with the help of great faculty and mentors.
