IIM Rohtak IPM Admission 2026
The candidates who have completed 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 60% (55% for ST, SC, and PwD) are eligible to apply for the IIM Rohtak IPM program. The total no. of seats for IPM Batch 07 (Session 2025-30) will be 198 (including 10% of the total seats that will be offered to EWS (Economically Weaker Section) candidates. - The candidates have to register themselves for the IPMAT exam.

- They will have to fill out the application form and pay the non-refundable application fee of INR 4,937.
- All selected candidates will receive a provisional offer letter for admission from ipmadmission@iimrohtak.ac.in on their registered email ID shortly after the merit list declaration. A candidate receiving an admission offer from IIM Rohtak (IIM-R) and accepting the offer within the stipulated date needs to deposit Rs. 1,00,000/- as the OAA i.e. Offer Acceptance Amount (or as mentioned in the Offer Letter) through the Institute’s admission portal only.

The candidates who possess the following eligibility criteria can apply for DPM at IIM Rohtak:
- Education: Postgraduate degree/ Bachelor’s degree with Qualification of CA, ICWA, or CS/ Bachelor's degree with Qualification of LLB/ MBBS with 12-month experience/ 5-years Integrated Master's degree with a 55% aggregate OR 4-years Bachelor’s degree with 6.5 CGPA.
- Qualifying Exam: They should have a valid test score of not older than 5 years. The exams accepted are CAT/ GMAT/ GRE/ GATE/ UGC-NET.
- Candidates who have completed PGDM/ MBA from any of the IIMs with a minimum 6.5 CGPA will be called for a direct interview.

Financial Assistance
The participants of the DPM will be given a stipend as mentioned below:
(a) Stipend of Rs. 45,000/- per month in the first and second years
(b) Stipend of Rs. 50,000/- per month for the third and fourth years (after clearing the comprehensive examination)
In addition to this, a merit scholarship (subject to satisfactory performance) of Rs. 10,000 per month in the second year and Rs. 15,000 per month in the third and fourth years is given to the deserving participants.
IIM Rohtak EPGDSM Admission 2026
The candidates who have a bachelor’s degree with an aggregate of 50% marks are eligible to apply for the 1-year EPGDSM (Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Management) program at IIM Rohtak. IIM Rohtak EPGDSM admission includes the following stages:

Sitting for CAT again is honestly not a very easy decision. So I will suggest you go for IIM Rohtak itself. This decision will be beneficial under the following circumstances
- If your past academic performance is not really good. This is because the older IIMs lay emphasis on past academics too much which in reality cannot be changed. So why risk a year when the chances are nearly zero?
- If you already have 2 or more years of experience, it’s better you don’t forgo the opportunity.
- If you are interested in domains like Finance or Marketing, it’s better to join now. This is because working too much in the IT field limits your chances of getting into Finance and Marketing.
So based on these points you can come up with a decision that’s best for you. Just remember that despite being new, IIM Rohtak belongs to the IIM family which in itself is a brand.

Before explaining to you the CAP process convened by IIM Rohtak let’s discuss in brief what exactly CAP is.
CAP stands for Common Admission Process. It is a single admission process conducted by the following IIMs alternatively: IIM Ranchi, IIM Trichy, IIM Rohtak, IIM Raipur, IIM Udaipur, or IIM Kashipur. Under this process, the candidate has to give a WAT/PI(Written Ability Test/Personal Interview) process under CAP. All the member institutes will be given the scores of this test and based on their respective criteria, each institute will declare its own list of shortlisted candidates.

Let’s discuss the various steps involved in this admission process
- Fill in your choices of IIMs in the CAT form.
- When CAT results are declared, the institutes under CAP make a shortlist based on their own criteria.
- The IIM which is organizing the CAP that year collects the shortlisted candidates' names from other institutes and informs them about the CAP IIMs which have shortlisted them for WAT/PI.
- The shortlisted candidates will have received a CAP link which they have to duly fill out. He will also be informed about the date and location of the CAP process.
- On the stipulated date, the candidate will have to appear for the WAT/PI process.
- All the institutes under CAP will receive the details of the score of this process and will release their own final shortlist.
Starting in 2018, every candidate has to appear for CAP irrespective of which IIM they belong to.
What's the admission process at IIM Rohtak and what’s the percentile required?
Since its inception in 2009, IIM Rohtak has steadily grown into a premier B-School, achieving numerous milestones.
The primary goal of IIM Rohtak's admission process is to identify qualified candidates for admission in each category, namely General, NC-OBC, SC, ST, EWS, and PWD/DAP. The Institute acknowledges the possibility of a student body that is generalized toward men and graduates with degrees in engineering and other related fields, even though merit is the primary factor. Therefore, it works to ensure that opportunities for various subject streams and genders are more evenly distributed. The strategy used at IIM Rohtak includes properly recognizing academic consistency.
IIM Rohtak's new admissions procedure consists of the following five steps considering that the institute is no longer a CAP participant:
- Stage I: IIM Rohtak Online Registration for PGP Admission.
- Stage II: It consists of a written analysis test (WAT) and a personal interview (PI)
- Stage III: The Final Selection List is based on CAT, WAT, and PI scores, as well as Diversity.
- Stage IV: Provisional Admission Offer for the PGP program.
- Stage V: Reporting to the PGP program.
The CAT Total Score will be given a weight of 45%. (Scaled to 100). WAT and PI scores will be given a weight of 35%. Furthermore, candidates will be given a 20% weighting for academic diversity and gender diversity.
Should I join IIM Rohtak? I’m a fresher, graduation scores are bad so even if I join, would I get a good placement offer?
If you graduated from a top-tier college in your field of study and have excellent niche technical and professional skills, your market value rises. In this case, if you have a job offer that meets your short- and long-term career goals and you're happy with the remuneration, challenges, and learning environment, you should consider accepting it and postponing your MBA by a year or so. A few years of professional experience will undoubtedly boost your CV and qualify you for top-tier B-schools in India and abroad.
Alternatively, if you don't already have a satisfying job offer or want to pursue your master's degree for other reasons, IIM Rohtak is a good option.
If you don't have a job offer and only want to pursue an MBA from a top-tier MBA program, this is a difficult decision to make. Firstly, wasting a year in preparation is not worth it. You may believe that with a high score, you will be able to pass the exam next year and gain admission to top B-schools, but the truth is that even MBA colleges frown upon a gap year in their admission interviews, and it is difficult to account for when interviewing for placements and jobs.
Go for IIM Rohtak and make the most of the opportunities there. In reality, it is a central government-sponsored institution with standard and excellent academics, curriculum, and campus infrastructure.
Which among the following should I join if given the options: IIM Ranchi, IIM Rohtak, or IIM Trichy?
Given below are the reasons why you should choose IIM Trichy over IIM Ranchi, and IIM Rohtak:
- According to statistics, IIM Trichy has one of the highest average compensation packages among the new IIMs. The highest and average packages offered during the 2022 placement drive, according to the final IIM Trichy placement report, was INR 34 LPA and INR 17.01 LPA, respectively.
- Although all of the IIMs are relatively new, IIM Ranchi and IIM Rohtak, which were founded in 2009, are older than IIM Trichy, which was founded in 2011. Nonetheless, IIM Trichy continues to coordinate the CAP for newer IIMs.
- IIM Trichy has the most full-time faculty of any new IIM, with 35. Furthermore, the majority of the faculty here are fellows of IIM A, B, C, K, TISS, JBIMS, NUS Singapore, and others, and they all have extensive industry experience.
Furthermore, because there is enough permanent faculty, students have a wide variety of subjects to choose from as electives in the second year, which is yet another factor that keeps IIM Trichy ahead of the competition.
Trichy is nearly equidistant from two of India's fastest-growing business hubs, Chennai and Bangalore. And the city is well-connected to both of these cities by rail, road, and air. This improves accessibility as well as placement. Furthermore, there are numerous tourist attractions nearby, including Ooty, Pondicherry, Rameshwaram, Munnar, and others, all of which are within a few hours' drive of the campus. Trichy is also consistently ranked as one of the cleanest cities in India.
Got a call from IIM-Rohtak, so should I presume I'll get calls from all new IIMs? Also, what are my chances converting it?
Yes, there is high chance that you will be getting calls from most of the newer IIMs if not all. However, based on your profile it won’t be easy to get into an IIM. You might have to work extra hard for your PI round.

What's your take on the withdrawal of IIM Rohtak from CAP?
I think it is a good tactical decision for IIM Rohtak to improve its worth and image among the second-generation IIMs.
Despite being younger than IIM Shillong it is considered among the second-generation IIMs because it has been a part of CAP. If you look at the current situation, IIM Shillong functions from a temporary campus and yet has its own WAT-PI process. On the other hand, IIM Rohtak has its own permanent campus but lacks its own WAT-PI process. Now its withdrawal from CAP will enable it to stand out from the second-generation IIMs.
From the student's perspective, this strategy has increased their chances of getting selected as now if they fail to perform well in CAP, they can rely on Rohtak's own WAT-PI process and vice-versa.
Should I join IIM Rohtak IPM?

The IPM program of IIM Rohtak is not at par with the PGP program and therefore I will suggest that you should go for it only if you have no better options. The reasons why I am against this program so much are
- It is one of the most expensive Undergraduate courses in India and the final placements are not worth the huge fees.
- The course is relatively new so they are still experimenting with the curriculum and pedagogy decreasing its credibility.
- Despite stretching over 200 Acres, the IIM Rohtak’s campus is partially not completed.
- The ROI is extremely low
- There is no mess facility adding to the already extravagant fees of the institute.
- The faculty is below average. To compensate for this they hold guest lectures.
Considering all the above points, I will recommend you to take up an Undergraduate course from any college and then go for an MBA from a top B School. By doing IPM you merely will be wasting 5 years and over 30 Lakhs.
How do I get admission in IIM Rohtak?
You need to specify the course you want to enroll in. IIM Rohtak offers MBA, IPM, and ILP and takes admission through CAT, IPMAT, and CLAT respectively.
- The first step in the admission process is to fill out the application form.
- CAT application gets live in August and you could fill out the form till October.
- After filling out the form there comes probably the best and most awaited and feared day; examination day.
- To get into IIM Rohtak for any of their MBA programs you need to have a valid CAT scorecard.
- CAT usually takes place in November and the scorecard gets live in January.
- After you get your score you can start applying for the colleges you think are suitable for your profile.
Many IIMs also require separate application forms and IIM Rohtak is one of them. You have to go to the official website of the college and fill in the application to get an Interview call. IIM Rohtak gives a substantial amount of weight to your CAT score so if you’ve scored well you’d probably get admission.

Candidates who are foreign nationals, PIOs overseas, Indian citizens, and NRIs are all eligible to apply to the Ph.D. programme at IIM Rohtak. Final selection to the Ph.D. programme is based on the school results, valid score from entrance exam, personal interviews, and work experience. It is a full-time course that is residential and lasts for 4 years.
Applicants must have a minimum of one of the following requirements to apply for this course:
1) A postgraduate degree with at least 55% aggregate marks.
2) An undergraduate degree in CS, ICWA, or CA with at least 55% aggregate marks.
3) A LLB degree along with a bachelor's degree with at least 55% aggregate marks.
4) 1 year experience in addition to an MBBS degree with a minimum of 55% marks
5) A 4-year undergraduate degree along with a year of experience and a minimum CGPA of 6.5.
6) Integrated Master's degree lasting five years with 55% marks
There are two stages for the PGPM admission process at IIM Rohtak. It includes the entrance examination that will be followed by the personal interview. The entrance exam is CAT with a valid score.
The deadline to register for IPL admission at IIM Rohtak has been extended. Now, you can fill out the examination form by July 25, 2022. The admission will be done through CLAT valid scores.
