Likes
- There is a lot of greeenery around. Cute little puppies and peacocks are found in almost many part of campus.
- There are different buildings for each department and all are very near so there is no rush in between lectures.
- The location of institution is very nice it is very near to beach, local market, and food courts.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure here is very old. It needs renovation and proper improvement
- There is no auditorium for big events to happen. Everything takes place in ground.
- Canteen food is cheap but not good and also its more south indian .
Placement Experience:
Students are eligible for on campus placements from 3rd year itself they can go through various rounds and they can get internships and ppo's too.Though employment is very less it was around 32% overall for all branches and courses and 56%for cse.Highest package this year was around 52 laks and avg was around 17lakhs.Around 154 companies visited college.

- The Campus life here is amazing, Many Events, Fests and activities are been organised here to keep students engage.
- The Facilities of library, good roads and decent infrastructure provies students with all the facilities and amenities that they require.
- Apart from studies, Sports and social activites are also focuses upon which helps in overall development of student.
Dislikes
- Although the campus is lush green, but the infrastructure and building has became old and need renovation as soon as possible.
- The Hostels are not up to the mark, they are old but girls hostel and other hostel are getting renovated one by one.
- The exams are made tough here, the paper setting and checking of the papers are strict. Students find difficult to cope up with all the stuffs they need to do.
Placement Experience:
The Placements here are decent. From 3rd semester onwards students actively participate in internships and training opportunities and students are offered placement in their 4th Year. The Highest Package is of 54 LPA this year(2024) from CSE branch. CSE, AI, ECE and EE are the branches from which high percentage of students are being placed. The Average Package here is 12 LPA. Many Major Companies such as Larsen & Turbo, HPCL, Hitachi visits the Campus.

- The Campus is Lush Green with plenty of trees, which gives a calm and peaceful vibes to students, also keeping the students close to Nature.
- The Faculty at SVNIT is amazing, they have deep knowledge in their respective fields and help students in every way possible.
- Many Fests and social events are organised in the institute to keep the students engaged and develop their overall personality.
Dislikes
- The Hostels at SVNIT are not up to the mark. They need to get Renovated.
- The Exams papers are made tough here at SVNIT. Students sometimes find difficult to cope up with the stuffs.
- The Campus has canteen services but they are not good as compared to other NITs and IITs.
Placement Experience:
From the 6th Semester Onwards students actively participate in internships and other opportunities. Many Major Companies such as Hitachi, Larsen & Turbo, GE Vernova, TATA etc. visit the campus. The Highest package in the year 2024 is of 54 LPA which is from CSE Branch and the Average Package lies around 11-12 LPA. The Percentage of students getting placed varies from branch to branch the highest percentage of students placed are from CSE and ECE Branches.

- some faculty are teaching skills are good.
- hostels are good (excluding 1st year) , girls hostel ek hi hai so voh accha hi hai .
Dislikes
- sports facility are not good in comparision to other nit collages .
- lab faculties are not good, in the classroom there are no AC availabilty .
- health facility are only available for sceduled time like only 7pm and not for sunday.
Placement Experience:
after 4th semester you are eligible for internship then company give the pre placments offer for student .
flicart , accenture , tcs , marcedez benz , deloite , jp morgan,goldman sac, oracle and many more .
in svnit 52 lacs is the highest pakage .
from cs dept 94% student were placed .

- Male Female ratio is not that much good.
- some buildings and hostel are too old they need reconstruction
- delivery boys are not allowed inside campus, we need to pick it up from gate
Placement Experience:
You need to do compulsory two internship one at beginning of third year and other at end of third year to become eligible for placement process. The average salary is around 18 lakh for cse while for ece it's around 15 lpa.

- Outdated Curriculum: Certain departments at SVNIT are criticized for not updating their syllabi frequently enough, potentially leaving graduates less prepared for rapidly evolving technological advancements in their fields.
Placement Experience:
Students after 2nd year can apply for internships,and after 3rd year they can apply for jobs they them self and campus placements starts in 4th year only. higest package was of 52 lakh in last year form CS branch .more then 90 percent of students who apply for job gets job

- The students have freedom to do their extra curiculam activites.
- The teaching is good, and also the placements and the interenships provided to the students.
- The laibrary facility is good. Students can gain knowledge from books, journals.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure is not good, as it is a old campus. The institutions has to consider this.
- The facilities in the hostels are not good like wifi connection and mainly the food provided in the hostel.
- The ration of the boys and girls is not good. Girls has only one hostels where as boys has 9 hostels.
Placement Experience:
At SVNIT, the journey towars securing promising career opportunities begins as early as the seventh semester for undergraduate students, marking the onset of the campus placement season.The companies like Mirosoft, Google,Amazon,TCS, Infosys among others, recurrently vist the campus to recuit talented individuals across diverse disciplines.The average package and highest will change yearly, on an average it will be around 10-20 lakhs according to the studies, the highets package will be 40 lakhs.Upon completing my degree at SVNIT , I am keen on pursuing a career in AI . Whether through campus placements or alternative avenues, I am commited to leveranging the knowledge and skills acquired during my tenure at SVNIT to embark on a rewarding professional journey.

- The college is situated in the center of city. so there's not much burden in travelling
- Regarding college life, i got exposed to people from states all over India, which helped me to develop my communication skills
Dislikes
- There's no non-veg provided in mess. so for it we have to pay extra money for it, which is a problem for most of students
- There's a lot of groupism and casteism in this college.
- Infrastructure is too bad. there's no auditorium in our college which is a huge drawback.
Placement Experience:
coming to placements, students can get their paid internships from third year itself , which if interested they get the preplacement offer too, plus point is that 95% of students ( in cs dept) get placed . companies like microsoft, delloite, jp morgan, oracle, accenture and other prominent mnc's visit for placements , and mentioned above 95% of students get placed.
highest package as per last year stats is around 44-45l per annum and average package is around 18-20l per annum .
i would like to pursue my masters in artificial intelligence.

- placements are very good at college we have 18 lakhs as average salary which is pretty good
- the locality of the campus is very nice exact middle of the city. can accesses anything
- the college life is cool no ragging and no bad things happen here. from very part of india student came here to study

- groupism is there hindi vs other language is ther no respect for other culture peple.
- the faculty is not up to the mark classes happen in very boring and the paper are tough
- there not much foe non veg lover as there is only veg dishes are served
Placement Experience:
our college is well know for the placement. for 4th sem we can seat for internship oppourtunities.and at 4th year we have placement of 18 lakh average salary for cse and my branch is ai which is new to college u we can approcimate of 17 to 18 lakh as Average salary.highest package is 48 lakh

- The locality. SVNIT is located at the center of the city surat which makes it easy to buy any neccessities.
- The people here a warming and welcoming.
- Good Campus,with greenary everywhere,and the Climate here is also good.
Dislikes
- The distance from Hostel to academic blocks is about 1-1.5km , which makes it difficult if you want to reach your class fast.
- Poor department. The dept of AI, is new so it doesnt have a permanent building.
- No auditorium which makes it difficult to conduct gatherings and convocation.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The cource is well designed and upto the date with all the advancements in Artificial Intelligence.
The cource in the first year Would contain all the fundementals like Mathematics required for Learning Machine learning Algorithms.
The Facults here are OK . The effort from the students is greater than the efforts from faculty.

My review of SVNIT is a mixed one. It is a good choice in almost every aspect other than sports.
For sports enthusiasts, SVNIT is not the right choice. The condition of sports facilities at our college is not good. The sports grounds are not in a good shape. The cricket/football ground becomes a grassland from July to December.
The indoor badminton courts, which are two in number, are immensely insufficient to cater to around 4000 students. Each one has to wait a long time for their turn, and is given around 10 minutes to play the sport. Such a huge number of students can not access the badminton courts for sufficient durations. MMNCT is the best sports event of the year. It is an inter-year cricket tournament that takes place at night. The gym is well designed and has all the modern equipment.
Many classes are boring. But a lot of the professors, especially in the Civil department, teach really well. The marking system is very transparent, and after 15-30 days post the exams, answer sheets are made available for students to have a look. The classrooms are also very school-like in appearance. The rules are lenient, and most teachers are satisfied with a 60% student attendance.
The location is quite good, and malls, theaters, etc. are easily accessible. The campus is located in a posh area of Surat. Places like Mumbai, Daman, etc. are easily accessible for getaways. The placements are top notch, the clubs are plenty and quite decent. The mess food is quite good as well.
Unless you are very serious about getting the best sports facilities, SVNIT is a good college. But for sports facilities, I would recommend you try for MNIT Jaipur.
