The course batch consists of 32 students, including 5 from All India seats and 1 from an in-service seat. Over 15 faculty members support both PhD and undergraduate courses, ensuring a favorable faculty-to-student ratio for personalized interaction. Dr. Nitish Tiwari and Dr. Brij Bihari Pandey are recognized for their excellent teaching. In the first semester, the agronomy department offers 9 subjects: 4 major, 2 minor, 1 major, and 2 non-credit subjects, with a requirement to score above 60% to pass, posing challenges in 2-3 subjects.
Although the curriculum is relevant, there is a suggestion to update outdated sections. Students pay a fee of Rs. 11,200 plus an examination fee of Rs. 1,500. Scholarships from the government vary: OBC students receive Rs. 18,000, SC students receive Rs. 24,000, and ST students receive Rs. 28,000.
