What is CG PAT 2026?

CG PAT 2026, or the Chhattisgarh Pre Agriculture Test, is a state-level offline entrance examination conducted by Chhattisgarh Vyapam for admission to undergraduate agriculture and allied science programmes in the state. The CG PAT score is accepted by Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (IGKV), Raipur and Dau Shri Vasudev Chandrakar Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya (DSVCKV), Durg, along with their constituent and affiliated colleges. More than 15,000 candidates appear for the exam every year, competing for around 800-900 seats across all participating institutes.

CG PAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Before filling the form, you should have checked whether you meet the CG PAT 2026 eligibility criteria. Even though registration has closed, the eligibility rules will be checked again at the time of counselling and document verification. Nationality and Domicile

• You must be an Indian citizen.
• You must have a valid Chhattisgarh domicile certificate to claim state quota seats.
• Candidates from other states can apply but are eligible only for the limited open-category seats as per state policy.

Age Limit

• You must be at least 17 years old as on 31 December 2026.
• There is no upper age limit for most undergraduate agriculture courses.
• For B.V.Sc. & A.H., the lower age limit is 17 and the upper age limit is 25 years as on 31 December 2026, as per the Veterinary Council of India norms.

Educational Qualification

• You must have passed Class 12 (10+2) from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, or with Agriculture as one of the subjects, depending on the course you choose.
• The minimum aggregate marks required are 50% for the General category and 40% for SC, ST and OBC (Chhattisgarh domicile) candidates.
• Candidates appearing in the Class 12 board exam in 2026 can also apply provisionally.

CG PAT 2026 Application Process

The CG PAT 2026 application window opened on 15 April 2026 and closed on 20 May 2026. The form was filled online on vyapamcg.cgstate.gov.in. Since registration is closed, no new applications will be accepted. The steps below explain the process for your reference and for next year planning.

• Step 1 - Registration: You had to register on the Vyapam portal using your name, mobile number, email ID and date of birth to generate a login ID and password.
• Step 2 - Form Filling: After login, you needed to fill personal details, educational qualifications, course preference, exam centre choice and category details.
• Step 3 - Document Upload: A recent passport-size photograph and signature in the prescribed size and format had to be uploaded.
• Step 4 - Fee Payment: The application fee was paid online through net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI.
• Step 5 - Submission and Printout: The final confirmation page needed to be downloaded and printed for future reference.

The form correction window was open from 22 May to 25 May 2026 for candidates who wanted to fix mistakes in their photograph, signature, name spelling, exam city or category. After this window, no further changes are allowed.

CG PAT 2026 scores are accepted by most government and government-aided agriculture, horticulture, dairy, fisheries and veterinary colleges in Chhattisgarh. Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (IGKV), Raipur is the parent university for agriculture courses, while DSVCKV, Durg is the parent university for veterinary and dairy programmes.

Apart from these, several private agriculture colleges in Chhattisgarh also accept the CG PAT score for management quota seats.
