In 2024, the result came about 10–11 weeks after the exam. CG PAT 2026 was held on June 21, and the expected July 2026 declaration would put the gap at just 2–3 weeks — reflecting improvements in OMR processing turnaround compared to the 2024 cycle.
CG PAT 2026 Merit List and Scorecard
After the CG PAT 2026 result is declared, CPEB will publish the combined merit list on the official Vyapam website. This merit list ranks all qualified candidates based on their total score out of 200. Your position on this merit list determines the college and course you receive during counselling. A high rank gives you access to top government colleges like TCB College of Agriculture, Bilaspur, or College of Agriculture, IGKV Raipur.
How the CG PAT 2026 Merit List is Prepared
- Candidates are ranked in descending order of total marks scored (out of 200)
- If two candidates score equal marks, the tie is broken by age — the older candidate (earlier date of birth) gets the higher rank
- Separate merit lists may be prepared for different categories: General, OBC, SC, and ST
- Course-wise separate merit lists may also be published (e.g., B.V.Sc. & A.H. has different eligibility conditions from B.Sc. Agriculture)
How to Download CG PAT 2026 Scorecard
- Visit vyapamcg.cgstate.gov.in
- Click the scorecard or rank card download link for CG PAT 2026
- Enter your roll number, registration number, and date of birth

You must carry your CG PAT 2026 scorecard and rank card to the counselling venue and document verification centre. Keep at least two printed copies safe.
CG PAT 2026 Cutoff Marks
The CG PAT 2026 cutoff marks have not been released yet, as the result is yet to be declared. There are two types of cutoff: the qualifying cutoff (minimum marks to appear in the merit list) and the admission cutoff (actual marks needed to secure a seat in a specific college or course, determined after each counselling round).
CG PAT 2026 Qualifying Cutoff (Expected)
| Category | Expected Qualifying Marks (Out of 200) | Expected Qualifying Percentage |
|---|---|---|
| General / OBC (Non-CG domicile) | 70 marks | 35% |
| SC / ST / OBC (CG domicile) | 60 marks | 30% |
These qualifying marks are based on previous year patterns. The official qualifying cutoff will be confirmed when the CG PAT 2026 result is declared.
Factors That Affect the CG PAT Cutoff
- Paper difficulty: A tougher paper generally results in a lower admission cutoff, even if the qualifying percentage stays fixed
- Number of candidates: More candidates appearing for fewer seats increases effective competition
- Available seats: More seats in a course bring the effective admission cutoff down
- Category reservations: SC/ST/OBC candidates from Chhattisgarh benefit from lower qualifying thresholds and reserved seats
Expected Admission Cutoff Range (Based on Historical Trends)
| Category | Expected Score Range for Admission | Remarks |
|---|---|---|
| General | 70–90 marks (out of 200) | Top government colleges have higher cutoffs |
| OBC (CG Domicile) | 60–80 marks | Varies by college and course |
| SC (CG Domicile) | 55–70 marks | Government colleges generally preferred |
| ST (CG Domicile) | 50–65 marks | More seats reserved in tribal belt colleges |
Note: Admission cutoff ranges are based on historical trends from previous CG PAT counselling sessions. Actual 2026 cutoffs will vary by college, course, and category and will be released after each counselling round.

CG PAT 2026 Preparation Tips
CG PAT 2026 was conducted on June 21, 2026. These preparation tips are useful for candidates preparing for CG PAT 2027, or for students who want to understand how to approach state-level agriculture entrance exams more effectively.
General Strategy
- Start with NCERT: Almost all CG PAT questions are based on NCERT Class 11 and Class 12 textbooks. Complete the NCERT textbooks for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology before picking up any additional reference material
- Attempt all questions: Since CG PAT has no negative marking, you must attempt all 200 questions. Even a guess on an unfamiliar question gives you a 25% chance of scoring a mark
- Prioritise Biology (Science Group): In the Science group, Biology carries 80 marks — the highest of all subjects. Biology is more scoring than Mathematics for most students, and NCERT diagrams and definitions are directly tested
- Solve previous year papers: Practising 5–7 years of CG PAT previous year papers is one of the most effective strategies. These papers show you the exact question style and which chapters are asked most often
- Time management: With 200 questions in 3 hours, you have about 54 seconds per question. Attempt easy questions first, return to difficult ones, and use the remaining time to fill in all unattempted questions
Subject-Wise Tips
- Physics: Mechanics, Optics, Electromagnetism, and Modern Physics are high-scoring chapters. Numerical problems from Current Electricity and Optics are frequently tested — practice these regularly
- Chemistry: Organic reactions, Chemical Bonding, and Electrochemistry carry high weightage. Memorise name reactions in Organic Chemistry and periodic trends in Inorganic Chemistry
- Biology: Genetics and Evolution, Human Physiology, Cell Biology, and Ecology chapters from NCERT are the most important. Pay special attention to NCERT diagrams — many direct questions appear on diagrams of the human reproductive system, DNA replication, and ecosystem flowcharts
- Agriculture Group: Soil science fundamentals, crop management, and irrigation types are heavily tested. Animal Husbandry questions on cattle breeds, dairy management, and disease prevention need factual clarity from NCERT Agriculture textbooks
Revision Tips
- Make short notes and formula sheets for Physics and Chemistry — these help during last-week revision
- For Biology, prepare chapter-wise one-liners for important definitions, organism names, and biological processes
- Take at least 5 full mock tests under timed conditions in the month before the exam
- Read all NCERT example boxes, bold definitions, and in-text questions — these are easy marks in the actual paper
