Admission to Panjab University's law program is determined by the OCET entrance test and graduation marks. Candidates can select either a morning or evening batch, with the entrance exam held in June and applications starting in April. The top 300 candidates are shortlisted for interviews based on the merit list. The faculty is highly qualified, some with 25 years of experience, and delivers a curriculum rich in case studies, presentations, and report writing.

Each subject includes 90 lectures per semester, with additional presentation lectures. The university offers subsidized tuition due to government aid, making education accessible. Historically, a law degree cost around 30,000 INR; currently, fees are 14,000 INR for the first semester and 4,000 INR for the second. While scholarships for financially disadvantaged students and fee reimbursements for orphans are available, the overall scholarship scope is limited. Despite the presence of multinational companies, the placement cell, active for only two years, offers minimal job opportunities post-graduation.

Internships, including a mandatory court visit, are available but often unpaid. Students are allowed to pursue external internships. Infrastructure is robust, but improvements in placement and internships are needed. Tuition fees range from 1.69 lakh to 6.94 lakh INR, with scholarships primarily for reserved categories.
