Hello every one, My self suri setti jaya raju. I got NIT rourkela EE branch , specilization ELECTRONIC SYSTEM AND COMMUNICATION.My totlal fee is 3,48,500 which breaks up into 4 sems, for 1st sem 99500(addmission fee 2500,tuition fee 35000,medical fee 2000,student activity fee 2000, other fees3000, hostal rent 5000,caution fee 10000(refundable),emergency fund 5000,hall establishment fee 5000 mess advance 30000), 2nd sem 82000(accept admission,emergency money,caution money), 3rd sem 85000(accept caution fee, addmision fee, emargency fund) and 4th sem 82000(same like 2nd sem). the scholarship amount is 12400 per month for students who join through CCMT counselling.

Curriculum and Course work is little bit hectic

We have to pay fee 2 times a year, before starting of semister. Tution fee will be 30000 per semister and other fee will be 10000 per semister, Hostel + Mess fee will be 30000 per semister (Mess fee 140/- per day). For SC,STs tution fee is excempted. We have to qualify GATE examination to secure M.Tech admission in our college and we will get monthly 12400/- MHRD scholarship.

The circulum of having 85 percent of Attendance is not good

In the First semister we have paid an amount of 1 lakh and in the second semister we have charged upto 70000. The scholarships are given to backward caste people and some scholarships are given based on the income.

Nit Rourkela overall review from m.tech point of view

If talk about fee of masters atudent it was almost 89k in First sem including mess and Hostel , Similary in its 75k in 2nd and 3rd sem and 85 k in 4th sem. Hike is almost 2k to 3k in each year . Complete cost would around 3.3 lac for m.tech.for m.tech you get stipen of 12,400 per month which is provide by MHRD.

NIT rkl one of the best NIT in the country

Fee is paid semester wise. Tution fee for each sem is 35000 Total fee for each semester is around 80000 including hostel and mess fee. Various scholarship are available for SC/ST students. Stipend of 12400 is provided to students who got admission through CCMT Process

For Btech, if you have an family income of less than 5 LPA, your tuition fee will get deducted completely, if you are from Mtech, you'll get stipend and thats why even 320000 is acceptable as we get 12400 per month

During my academic period the tuition fee didn't change with cost of 35k per sem.the complete cost of my education is around 3.2laks per my 2-year mtech course.the scholarship available for students is the stipend they get as TA of 12.4k per month if they enrolled with gate score there has been hike observed in our hostel fee which went from 19.5k per sem to 32k per sem.Currently,I'm doing an internship with stipend of 12.5k per month with all expenses covered by company

An overall review of NITR

Fees will be paid semester wise (70-80k avg). Fee will be more at the time of admission which contains paying of caution deposits, and various other particulars. A nominal stipend of 12,400/- will be given to master's students as scholarship amount from MHRD, govt of India for almost 22 to 23 months. However, if a student is availing internship benifits from other company, they are not entitled to get stipend amount from the institution. Also, if a student fails to achieve the first class CGPA (>= 6 CGPA), their stipend will be on hold untill making the required CGPA by next semesters. Fee structure can be found in the institute's official website which contains tution fee, hall fee, mess fee, medical fee, establishment fee, and others. People who are having reservation will be exempted from paying tution fee which is 35,000/-. Students receive stipend as the complimentary for the duties they undertake in the 3rd and 4th semester as TA - Teaching Assistant for the laboratory sessions.
