What are your thoughts on food processing engineering at NIT Rourkela?

NIT Rourkela's newly launched branch Food Processing has a wide scope for development and research and its worth cannot simply be judged through its placements. It caters to the ones interested in the production and processing of food and maintaining its quality. The branch covers all arenas of food marketing from developing food and machines to keeping the food safe. It comprises concepts from various other branches too like mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, and Food Science and Engineering. As there is growth and development in India with respect to Food and Beverage Processing, there has opened up a gate for great research and job opportunities, as well, in the near future or I would say it has already started. I asked a friend about the placement scenario of the branch and he told me that around 80-85% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 17 LPA. Most of the students receive internship opportunities while some prefer going to top foreign universities to pursue higher studies or research. Some of the core companies visiting the campus for placement are Milk Mantra, IDMC, Tetra Pak, etc. Some of the non-core companies visiting the campus for placement are ZS Associates, TCS, EXL Services, Tredence, Affine Analytics, etc. Other programs that students of this branch end up going to include Management programs in IIM-A, XIMB, NIBM, BITS Pilani, and direct Ph.D. in foreign universities. Some even go for M.Tech Program in NIFTEM. So, the B.Tech program in Food Process Engineering is a great choice for interested students considering its increasing demand and scope.

85 percentage attendance policy like, if you are absent for 6 classes in a subject of 3 credit, you will face a grade back

Fees and Financial Aid:

-Yearly fee structure sc student is currently 70000 excluding the first year, as the first semester fees is different from rest of other semesters. -Scholarships are provided by the institute for which student has to contact the college administration. -for general, first semester fees is 136,500 after that 111,500

Recent hike in mess fees was opposed by all the students of NITR community and the negotiation was handled to reduce the hike and in terms of fees the college is legible . Scholarships are easily acceaible tk students studying here .

My Big Campus

Our college provides a lot of internships to the students who can fulfill the criteria. Also, various educational loans are available to us so that we can continue with our studies smoothly. Being an OBC category student, I have to pay 530000 with which we can get several benefits of hostel facilities and mess food.

MY DREAM COLLEGE

For every NIT the fees structure range between 6 to 8 lacs in all the 4 years including tution fees, hostel fees and all sorts of expenses. But college provides many scholarship to students, For example,if a student's family income is less than 1 lacs then the college leave the students tution fees ,if the family income range between 1 to 5 lacs then college leave three- fourth tution fees . And many more government scholarship scheme comes to college and it depends on your cgpa and family income.

All about nit rourkela .

If your parent income is less than one lakh per annnum then your tuition fee is wavier . If your parent income is between one lakh to 5 lakh . Then 2/3 of your tuitiion fee is waiver . If you belong to SC / ST then your full tuition fee is waiver . The full cost of NIT ROURKELA per semister is 124000/- . There are some privet as well as govt. scholarship are available to apply .

NIT Rourkela: Lush of Odisha

Attendence criteria is too strict.It is 85% for NIT Rourkela which is really huge

Approx 1lakh is the total fee for one semester including hostel and mess fee. For SC and ST students, they are not required to pay tuition fees. Also for a family income of less than one lakh, there is a full fee waiver. For annual income up to 3 lahks 2/3 of tuition fee being reduced and for upto 5lakh 2/3 is being reduced. Also, there are banks like SBI on campus which provide education loans at minimum interest rates. For Btech students, there are not any campus jobs in my view.

the fee structure of the graduation will be given at the start of the academic session and the college provides diffrent types of scholarships like the alumini scholarship and the governement of india also provides diffrent scholarships like NSP, ONGC, FFE..etc to encourage students to study in better institutions

Good One

The fee structure is quite high but it is neutralized by the scholarship. The financial assistance is good here. No, I have not got anything regarding it. The scholarships can be availed here according to caste.
