Eligibility Criteria
Aspirants seeking admission to 4 year Full-time B.Tech Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.
Academic Requirement:
Candidate must have passed class 12th or equivalent by the AIU or Intermediate or 2-year Pre-University exam conducted by a recognized Board/ University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects with 75% marks (65% marks for reserved category).
Entrance Exam:
Candidates must qualify for JEE Mains.

- For, SC/ST/PH/Family income<1lakh (Tuition fee completely exempted)
- For, students having family income between 1lakh to 5lakh per annum (Tuition fee is one-third of Tuition fees i.e. Rs. 20,833)
- Other fees include Examination fees, Library fees, Electricity fees, etc.
- The amount mentioned against mess advance is an approximate amount

- Environments : Pleasent cool environment with full of trees.
- Faculty: Supportive professors and administrative staff.
Fees and Financial Aid:
Total course fees per year (2 sem) is 2 lakhs 64 thousands . I have got fees waiver of Rs 62500 per sem , i. e Rs130000 per year as I am OBC NCl and income below 5 lakhs.Hostel fees is 80000 per year .

- The lush green vast campus is very attractive .
- It has 9 hall of residences and nearly all the facilities are available with8n the campus
Dislikes
- Hostel rooms for 1st year is small and compact
- Mess food is not much good if u dont belong to odisha

Fees is little bit high as compared to other NITs and it varies according to the income group . For below 1 lakh income group-60000 And for 1-5lakhs its 89990 And for greater than 5 lakhs its nearly 136500

Hall Establishment Fee is 10000 and mess advance is 60000

- Infrastructure. we got some very good architecture in our most of the buildings
- club culture. we have more than 50 clubs to get into

- attendence. we have to maintain a 85% attendence which is high than most of the colleges
- faculty. here most of the doesnot care what you learn or not they just want assignment
Fees and Financial Aid:
generally we dont get hikes in any kind of fees but recently we got a huge hike in mess fees of 14000 due to change of mess caterer. our paymment is done on semester wise since we have 8 semester so adding all of the expenditure the total cost makes upto 8,20,000 excluding personal expenditures. if someones annnual income is less than 1lac per annum then he/she gets 100% tution fee waive and that same goes for sc/st students. sorry but i have not enough knowledge about it.

- i like the college life over here with lot of student studing here and alumni network is also healthy.
- transportation is nice you will all the thing at walking distance.
Dislikes
- faculties are not upto the mark and not very helpful.
- placement is very poor in this college you need to work alot.
Fees and Financial Aid:
my fee structure is 142000 which is quite high there are scholarshi alloted to students but they are given to whose family income is less than 1 lac and also some other scholarship are provided for students like nsp.

- Club Culture that helps in personality building
- Vibrant and Lush green Campus life helps for refreshments
Dislikes
- Sometimes it feels academics is outdated
- 85% attendance criteria feels hard like a burden
Fees and Financial Aid:
There is no such tuition fee increase policy as the tuition fee remains same since last some years. The complete cost is estimated around 8 lakhs as I don't fall under any fee waiver scheme. Each semester about 1 lakh. A number of scholarships are available here.. Government, Private,Alumni scholarships and fee waiver scheme is also there.If your income level under 1 Lakh, then complete tuition fee is waived. If income in between 1 lakh and 5 lakh, You have to pay only 1/3rd tuition fee and if your Income is above 5 lakh,then you have to pay full tuition fee.

- Infrastructure and campus are very good.
- Varities of culbs and always active. They organise events frequently for students.
Dislikes
- There is Attendance criteria is very bad that is 85%.
- Most of the professor are Odia , so they are more interactive with odia students . Zoneism is in air of campus.

Fee structure of NIT is less because it is a government college. Availability of scholarships is easy. Financial assistance, and campus employment opportunities is also good. Tuition fees is approx 60k for general students.

- Campus life:- a lot of fest and fresh air and pollution free campus.
- Club Culture :- A lot of clubs and socities.
Dislikes
- Language Barrier as most of the staff is fluent in regional language
- There are most of the students from Odisha so they communicate in local languages

NITR is a central government institute so fee is decided by government of india and actual fee for each year can be seen for institute website itself. The complete cost of course is about 8 to 10 lacs and it also depends on family income as the candidates having family income less than 1 lac they don't have to pay for tution fee that is approx. 60 thousand and the candidates having income between 1 lac to 5 lac are given a rebate of 2/3 of tution fee i have not taken advantages of any employment still
