In the first year, students take about 8 courses per semester, mixing theory and lab work. The workload lessens over time. Two exams each semester, the mid-semester worth 30 marks and the final worth 50, along with 20 marks for class performance, determine grades. Attendance affects grades if students miss more than 6 classes. Students can sit for placements after the 7th semester in B.Tech and the 9th in dual degree programs.
Placement success rates are high, with packages averaging 10-12 LPA and topping at 52 LPA domestically and 1.2 crore internationally. Internships are available from the 4th semester, with stipends up to 125,000 INR. The training and placement cell aids in job preparation. Each semester costs around 100,000 INR, including tuition and hostel fees. The tuition fee is 62,500 INR, with various other fees totaling 100,000 INR. The first semester includes an additional admission fee, and the final semester a convocation fee.
Tuition is waived for students with family incomes under 100,000 INR, and reduced for EWS, OBC, and SC/ST students. Scholarships are externally available, with the Institute Counseling Services providing guidance.
