- Placement wise college is good almost all the companies except HFTs come to recruit
- Crowd is good and sense of competitiveness is there between students
- Infrastructure is I would say above average not as good as of dtu but still good campus with around 150 acre area
Dislikes
- Sports infrastructure needs to be improved . Grounds are not well maintained
- Administration is sometimes not so cooperative
Placement Experience:
After 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement. All the major companies come for recruitment like FAANG. Highest package is around 1.8 cpa and average is around 17lpa . Around 85-90% studnets are placed . My place is same to get a good placement offer after getting the degree

- the culture was good you find all kind of people so you find your kind of too and seniors were amazing , helping and like friends
- there was like 0 ragging like it does not exit there
- the opportunities were amazing and the tech culture is one of the best better then DTU and IIITD

- the faculty is like nightmare worst allover Delhi genuinely worst not from my experience but seniors, juniors and even post-graduation students.
- the coordination by faculty was worst like you don't get the work done if its through collage
- you don't get to know thought your college ever that who do you need to contact for what issue my personal experience was really bad
Internships Opportunities:
for core branches the internship oppertunity like realy dont exist but the tech and non tech oppertunitys are amazing and you can get ppo also companys google, michrosoft, amazon, all top giants are here you just need to work for these oppertunitys

- College has good gender ratio and a good crowd. Campus is very well maintained and has lots of greenery.
Dislikes
- Poor maintenance of sports equipment and lack of amenities for eating no food outlets and only one canteen available
Internships Opportunities:
Companies visit the campus to higher interns usually in the 4th semester or the 5th semester. These companies offer rolls Ranger from tech sector to nontech to core. Some recruiters are Microsoft Google Infosys TCS De Shaw Apple Goldman Sachs etc.

- Our college have society of almost every niche whether it's tech, consulting, dance, singing or self improvement etc.
- Senior are very supportive and they guide their juniors very well.
- College infrastructure is pretty good like we have fully furnished classes with air conditioner etc.
Dislikes
- Our college only have one common badminton court for every one and its outdoor.
- College scholarships official are not cooperative and they don't guide well.
- College canteen is always flooded with students.
Placement Experience:
Placement of my college is good if I compare it to other colleges except iits and some nits.
Students get eligible in 6 sem for college placements. Many company visits my college during college placements like Google, microsoft, amazon, flipkart, uber etc. they offer good packages highest package which I remember is around 1.2 cr and the lowest is 4lpa. Percentage of students who got placed in my branch is 57 percent where this no. becomes 80 or 90 percent in case of tech branches. My plan after getting degree is to get placed in any company with around 15-20lpa or I will prepare for government exams.

- Our college has an excellent placement records with top companies visit to recruit students. Also studnets have completed internships at many leading companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Qualcomm etc.
- If you are keen on sports than you will find yourself lucky if you are NSUTian as it provides amzing sports complex which includes criclet ground, lawn tennis court, running track, football ground, basketball court, volleyball court, TT tables.
- Seniors are very helfpul as they provide you resources for Exams, share insights on which professors are approachable and which ones are less so, helping you navigate your academic journey with ease.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure is something that is not upto the mark as there were 4 canteens and one Amul cafeteria available in the campus but now after the orders from MCD all canteens and Amul cafetria are sealed. Also the speed of wifi is very poor.
- Attendance criteria is too strict, you have to maintain your attenfdance atleast 75% otherwise you will be debarred from sitting in the exam.
- You have to study throughout the semester as various class tests are conducted and you have to perform in them too as they carry weightage in your overall grades.
Internships Opportunities:
Many of the big companies offered internships at NSUT like Microsoft, Qualcomm, Deloitte, Cisco, Google, Amazon with stipend generally varies from 20000/- to 125000/-.
Students got various different roles for internships like Data Science and Analytics, UI/UX design, Cybersecurity, AI and ML, Blockchain, Web and app development, etc.

The placement of nsut is good is above average if you are from tech branch then it is confirm your package will be above 12 lpa and about nontec branch it's kind of tech but if you study coding and develop skill you can also get tech job and non tech is option but in core is bad

The companies like Microsoft, Google, Adobe, Infosys, Deloitte, Zomato usually comes in our college for internships with Stipend. We can say that are college provides a good intention of alternati's first students who can they can get industrial exposure before the actual industry.

Microsoft, google,uber and etc all kind of companies are approaches to give internship the offer intern kind of roles not high end but if they like your work they hire you directly. I am a second year student so I was very new to this field and in 3 year I was able to attend internship program.

- Gender ration of NSUT is good compared to other engineering colleges.As it has some reservation for girls
- Campus Life is very good and also it has nice crowd. It has various societies with good social interaction.Placements are also very good.
Dislikes
- Don't liked the teachers expertise and the teaching style of some faculty.
- Sports facilities are not upto the mark need to be improved.Like it has only badminton court which is also outdoor. No indoor badminton facility
- Provision of scholarship.Nsut don't provide scholarship on time.

Which ranks higher: NSIT, DTU, or an NIT?

It’s hard to determine the worth and credibility of these institutes just by looking at official rankings. So I will be taking into consideration some criteria
- Placements: The placement scenario and opportunities offered at all these institutes are equally good as similar companies visit for placements. Companies like Google and Facebook conduct an open test like APAC so students of all institutes get equal opportunities.
- Campus life: In terms of the campus and city life offered, my preference order would be DTU = NSIT > NIT. Being in Delhi, NSIT and DTU offer better opportunities and exposure. Delhi has it all, major corporate headquarters, the media, and top colleges like IIT-D and DU to compete with.
- Student pool: The peer group has a massive effect on you and helps you in determining your interests and activities and grooming your personality. The ranking of colleges depends solely on the type of crowd you are looking for. If you are from south India, you would prefer to join NIT- Trichy. So this aspect cannot be generalized at all.
- Campus: A dynamic college life is very important to break from occasional strenuous situations. In that aspect, NIT offers the best campus life followed by DTU and NSIT.
- Faculty: The faculty pool is better at NIT than at NSIT and DTU. NIT is a central government institute and has a better recruitment process so filtration is better.
- Alumni: Alumni network plays a big role in your institute’s reputation in the corporate sector and can help you financially with your startup idea. That being said, DTU and NIT Trichy have the best alumni network followed by other NITs and NSITs.
It’s best to go for the college that is best suitable for you alone and not just because it has good rankings.

Why are good institutes like IIIT-Hyderabad, IIIT-Allahabad, BITS-Pilani, NSIT and DTU missing in MHRD Rankings for best engineering institutes?

The first-ever ranking of higher education institutions in India namely the Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, and Universities was released on the 4th of April 2016, by the MHRD. Many claimed that the report was misleading as they did not conduct thorough research before ranking the institutes.
Firstly, only 233 out of 720 universities participated and it's highly possible that some of the major colleges did not participate in the survey. So to get an exact picture, 100% participation is a must. One of my friends told me that his institute was a tier-3 institute with pathetic teaching faculty and placements and yet was ranked under 70. This alone is enough to point out that fallacy in the rankings. He also told me that most of the duvet conducted was done with false credentials, therefore, discrediting the rankings.
The worst part of these MHRD rankings is that the accuracy and authenticity are in the hands of the institute which can be easily manipulated. Overall I believe that The National Institutional Ranking Framework is a good idea, but poorly executed because the rankings are done on the basis of incomplete data and are often manipulated. Unfortunately, many students fall trapped in these inflated rankings and end up h choosing the wrong institute.
