NSUT has released its latest placement report on its official website. As per the 2025 report, the highest package offered is INR 65 LPA, average package offered was INR 18 LPA. Some of the top core companies, like Google, Microsoft, Apple, Zomato, DeShaw, and others, visited the placement drive of 2025. Apple offered the highest salary package, followed by DESHAW and Google Silicon. Adobe offered a package varying from INR 45 LPA to INR 50 LPA.

All about NSUT

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements and full time offers from the 7th semesters. Companies visit the campus to higher students in the 7 semester for placements and in the 5th semester for internships some of these internships may convert into full time offers. If a student is unable to secure a placement on campus they can sit for placements off campus opportunities. The average package of my branch is around 17 lpa and the highest was 72 lpa.

Placement Experience:

Placement of my college is good if I compare it to other colleges except iits and some nits. Students get eligible in 6 sem for college placements. Many company visits my college during college placements like Google, microsoft, amazon, flipkart, uber etc. they offer good packages highest package which I remember is around 1.2 cr and the lowest is 4lpa. Percentage of students who got placed in my branch is 57 percent where this no. becomes 80 or 90 percent in case of tech branches. My plan after getting degree is to get placed in any company with around 15-20lpa or I will prepare for government exams.

Our college has an excellent placement records with top companies visit to recruit students. Also studnets have completed internships at many leading companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Qualcomm etc.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from 7th semester onwards. Many companies visit in NSUT to hire students, can't name them all but some of the major companies that visit are Amazon, Microsoft, Google, TCS, Bharti Airtel, Paytm, Oracle, Maruti Suzuki etc. Highest package grabbed by the student is 1.06 crores and median package offered in 2023 was 17.00 LPA. 80% students got placed during 2023 while it was 90% for CSE students. My plan after the degree is to get into Tech placements as it is the one field I am passionate about and ofcourse Technology is the new necessity in everyone's lives.

A college with a good social life but needs a slight improvement.

Placement Experience:

I college provides around 65 to 70% in campus placement. While the students who don't get any placement up to for higher studies in India or outside India and many students also start thie own startups. From 7 semester student become eligible for placements and the companies which visit our college are Microsoft, Google, Adobe, Infosys, Delloite etc. The highest package for our course is of 1.2 CR while the average package for this course is around 16 to 20 lakh per annum. After getting the degree I'll go for in campus placement and by any chance if i will not get it I'll choose to apply for off Campus placements.

So from 7th semester students become eligible for on campus placement.From 5th semester or 3rd year students are eligible for on campus internships with very good package. Highest package in 2024 is 83lpa in cse branch and 18 lpa average.In cse placement percentage is 70%, and in ee it is lower around 40%.

NSUT- A rollercoaster but definitely must have experience.

The Hidden Truth of NSUT

Placement Experience:

Talking about NSUT, it is one of the best in terms of placement. Almost every company you may think of that costs IIT Delhi also visits NSUT. NSUT has a great placement stats in tech, non tech and in core as well. In tech , you may think of Amazon , Flipkart , google , Microsoft and all the big companies do visit the campus The eligibility for on campus placements purely depends upon the CGPA. So it is really important to maintain a good GPA throughout the course. Students become eligible for placements after the 6th sem only. To check the stats of the company visited and the offers made to each branch , you may visit the TNP website of our college NSUT. 80-90% students were placed from our college in the last placement session. For consultancy and non tech, companies like Deshaw, Bain, TCS,McKinsey etc do visit the campus. The highest package almost goes above a Crore per annum in most of the years , while the avg is around 10LPA, while the median is around 7-8LPA.

The NSIT placements statistics are decent but yet not at or with DTU and IIIT Delhi. Although a large number of companies visit the campus for placements, the average and median CTC is quite low. It is still considered the best option for CS/Circuit branches but the batch size has been increasing alarmingly so the quality might be compromised.

NSUT Placements 2022 witnessed around 1044 placements with the median package standing at INR 6.20 LPA for the 3 years UG batch, INR 16 LPA for the 4 years UG batch, and INR 11.75 LPA for the 2 years PG batch. The NSUT engineering placements have been tabulated below

Placements for ICE are both good and bad at NSUT-

Core jobs are very less in number. Core companies visit the campus in very small numbers, offer very low packages, and you may end up working in some remote location.
However, the overall placements are quite good and ICE students can get placed in multiple profiles like finance, marketing, analyst, software developer, etc. These profiles offer good packages and a metropolitan work location, mostly the Delhi NCR region. But for these offers, you will face competition from all the branches. You will get placed in a renowned organization if you start preparing from your 2nd year onwards. These profiles aren’t branch specific so there is a high competition.

Apart from talent, your grades will play a huge role during the placement process. Maintain an 8+ CGPA to be able to sit for majority company placements. Also, for candidates of equal caliber, the company uses CGPA as an important deciding factor during the selection process.

Thus, as an ICE student at NSUT , you will get good placement opportunities in various sectors other than your core sector.

However, if you look from the angle of research , IIIT Delhi certainly is way ahead than the other colleges. Its research-oriented institute is primarily established to conduct cutting-edge research in the field of CS. While BITS Pilani also has a decent research culture, DTU, and NSUT are nowhere near IIIT Delhi in terms of research. IIIT Delhi students have a lot of projects to work on under highly learned and passionate faculties. The exposure these students receive is unmatched and they are offered excellent opportunities in terms of both in industry and for higher education.

So if you want both excellent placements and research opportunities go for IIIT Delhi but if you want a good campus life too that is less focused on research go for BITS Pilani.

NSIT offers an excellent ROI considering its minimal fees and excellent scholarships, internship stipends, and placement opportunities.
The academic workload is very low and studying a month prior is more than enough to ace the exams here. This helps you save time for MOOCs and build up your CV.
The quality of companies that visit for placement is top-notch. The institute welcomes diverse recruiters from silicon valley startups to very established big MNCs.
NSIT Delhi has some of the most talented people taking admission here. The 1% of people in AIEEE or JEE-MAINS get to study here. An excellent peer culture helps you gain extra knowledge of life.
NSIT has a very rich coding culture and has produced some of the best coders. Online coding is common here and people can be seen involved in Codechef, SPOJ, Codeforces, and TopCoder.

Cons

The syllabus is outdated, obsolete, and fails to meet industry trends.
The faculty is pretty demotivated and has no interest in teaching. You will have to resort to self-study most of the time and seek help from your seniors.
Being a government college, getting some administrative work done is a big task. The results are often full of errors and approaching the administration and getting your query solved is difficult.
The research culture is pathetic here and the faculty do nothing to promote it among students. In fact, it’s difficult to even approach them for a project.

Overall, the institute offers a plethora of opportunities, especially in the IT sector but the quality of academics is a bit on the average side. As for your question, the yearly compensation is not 1 crore but much less. The figures are misleading and pay us just like what Google would pay in India around INR 24-25 LPA.

Instead of checking the average package, you should check the median package. This is because the average package does not always give an accurate picture. If a student from that branch/course gets placed in say, Google or Facebook at a package of around 1CPA, this would drastically lift the average package figure.

On the other hand, the median package is the salary in the middle when salaries are arranged in an increasing/ decreasing order. The median package offered to the B.Tech students at NSUT for 2022 placements was INR 16 LPA.

Thus, the B.Tech placements are quite decent at NSUT. You can consult the department alumni to find out the median and average packages offered to the COE branch in particular.

The first placement drive for the Mechanical branch of NSUT was held in 2019 and my brother participated in it. The offers received were a combination of the following

Core Jobs: Students of Mechanical and MPAE branches were after core jobs and quite a few companies visited the college. Some of these were Hero, Vedanta, Reliance, Anand Automobile, Rockwell Automation, IGL, etc. In all, 10 students from ME were placed in core companies.
Non-Technical Jobs: The maximum offers came from non-technical companies for a number of profiles like Data Analytics, Business Development, etc. Some non-technical recruiters included ZS Associates, Deloitte, Cogoport, BCG, Bain, etc. All, 20 students from ME got placed in non-technical companies.
Technical Jobs: These jobs are scanty and most companies prefer recruiting a bow average candidate for the Circuit branch than an above-average student of the core branch. A few technical companies that visited were OLA, OYO, and WIPRO. In all, 5-7 students from ME were placed in IT companies.

This scenario is from 2019 and things might have become better now. Since the institute does not release official figures, here is what I got from a friend.

A college does not need advertisements for improving its brand value and worth. A good institute is recognizable by the quality of students and placements it offers. I feel NSUT being a prestigious institute already felt no need to advertise its placement stats and attract an unnecessary crowd. It believes in quality over quantity and thus takes in only the best.

Institutes like DTU have to prove their worth and thus measures like advertising are undertaken. Earlier it was a central university college and now it has become an autonomous state university. Everyone was against this change so the institute deserve to preserve the brand value by publishing high-end advertisements.

So whether a college advertises its placement statistics or not depends on whether the institute needs to attract the public or the brand value is more than enough to attract the students.

How are NSUT Placements for MBA?

The MBA Placements in NSUT are very decent. The placement percentage of NSUT MBA is 80% (total capacity for MBA- 80). The median salary package is INR 11.75 lacs per year (according to 2023 statistics). The top recruiters for MBA students in NSUT are Google, TCS, Aakash Institute, Accenture, DE Shaw, Directi, Delloite, KPMG, Lares Software, Reliance Industries Limited.
