NSUT: Students' Opinion

AI-Generated Summary based on 1 Reviews

Admission to NSUT requires passing the JEE exam conducted by CBSE, with placement through the Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) alongside DTU. The Instrumentation branch is popular due to its mix of electrical and electronics, offering wide-ranging opportunities. The college's faculty, primarily PhD holders, are committed to engaging teaching. NSUT charges around 1.5 lakhs INR per year, which might seem high for a government college, but is reasonable given the holistic environment for academics and extracurriculars.

Placement success is notable, with nearly all students securing jobs. Renowned companies like Google, Microsoft, Uber, and Airtel hire graduates, offering average salaries between 15-20 lakh INR. Internships are available but less prevalent than job placements. Merit-based scholarships are offered to top students, with assessment taking two to three months. Economically disadvantaged students can also apply for financial aid.

NSUT: 1 Answered Question

Are courses in DTU and NSIT flexible? Can students from lower branches study a minor in C.S. easily?

Akriti Banerjeelives in New Delhi

As an NSUT student, the new CBCS (choice based credit system) allows you to choose your fields of study. This makes for more flexible courses. Also, NSUT has an excellent coding environment which will help you for your minor in Computer Science. Many students over there pursue coding, despite being from a branch other than IT/COE.

In DTU, you will have electives starting from 5th semester. These are department and general electives. IIIT Delhi offers the most flexible courses. Other than some fixed category credits, all the subjects are choice based.

Thus, in terms of providing flexible courses, this is the order of preference- IIITD> NSUT>DTU.
