  • Very updated and application-level. The emphasis was on understanding concepts and applying them in real-life situations.
  • Assignments were based on real-life problems in countries and economies, preparing us for the real world.
  • Exams were online, open-book, with strict AI and plagiarism checks to ensure fairness.
  • The final four months were dedicated to the dissertation, working closely with a professional and supportive professor. Mistakes were expected, but guidance encouraged innovation and out-of-the-box thinking.
  • Mostly four 1-hour sessions per day. Classes were relaxed, inclusive, and interactive. Reference materials and slides were uploaded to the class application.
  • Roughly 30 students per class, with a diverse mix from Asia, Africa, Europe, and the UK.

Fees

  • Total tuition fee for the 1-year program: £19,250.
  • Living expenses, including rent: around £12,000.
  • Overall, including living costs, the total comes to approximately £28,000–£30,000.

  • My accommodation was in a student village. as soon as you confirm the university, they provide the preferred accommodations in the vicinity and we can pick anything we want. I preferred student village because it was mandatory to show accommodation to the loan-lending bank. I had zero challenges getting accommodation; I got the place confirmation within 2 days after my application to the student village.

  • It's difficult. its a masters course and they will not spoon feed! they expect you to have minimum knowledge and utmost interest in the subject. they will go briefly over the course and will expect you to do your research to the best possible and understand.
  • Mine was mostly theoretical, which i did not appreciate much, it was long full days from 9-5pm with 3 hours of lectures and no break. that eventually makes you lose interest. i would have appreciated shorted class duration and multiple days instead

Fees

  • The total fees in my field was 20500 pounds. I paid half of the amount before joining university and the other half before the beginning of the second semester. the fees are charged semester wise.
  • I did not take accommodation from university but stayed nearby and used the university bus which was quite affordable. My monthly expenses were roughly 500 for rent(including bills), 200 on food, 50 on transportation and 15 for gym and societies.

  • You can expect medium to high level of difficulty. Course are design mostly in conceptual basis. you will have two mid terms in which they will provide the conceptual question and you have to sumbit it within a day of deadline applying your brain. This will be the open book exam. in the end term you will have the exam like most of the indian colleges also do have. this will be 2 and half hour exam. In a day you will have mostly 2 classes each 2 hours. In a course students have to opt the minimum required subjects to successfully complete the course and college will provide the time for that particular subject and venue of the class. However a student can attend optional subject lectures also. In some subjects you may have 100 of students and in some less students may be 30-40 depends on how many students opted for that particular subject. In my course 4 indian students were there.

Fees

  • Tution fees - Near about 12000 pounds
Hostel fee - Near about 6000-7000 pounds/ you can opt to stay in private accommodation, that you will find easily there as lots of property vendor available there and it will be cheaper than the college hostel.
  • Tution fees you have to pay maximum in two go; however hostel fees you can pay as per your wishes but ofcourse always in advance

  • Well, this is very interesting because I did not expect that it would be such a bite-the-bullet thing, but it was. The course was so long, and it was mixed but more theoretical that it had 12 subjects and 2 projects in just one year, and you had to submit 2 assignments and 1 written exam for each subject, so in four months, you had to submit 12 assignments and 6 written exams while doing a part-time job, cooking, and other homework. It would have been easy if I had stopped doing a part-time job. Anyway, it was all positive and fruitful, with no negative aspects I can see. The only downfall of not doing the part-time job is that you will never understand the actual meaning of hard work and time management. There are a lot more positive aspects, as I've got to work with the best professors and colleagues who already had a great experience with Airbus and Rolls-Royce. Another one is I got to work with Mercedes Benz on a simulation project and I had a chance to go south Africa for a solar energy project, but there was some financial issue, so it didn't turn out well. One of my friends got a chance to present his research work at the US conference. The only negative aspect I can see is the 12 subjects and many times you have only one day and you have to finish two reports on the same deadline, and there is no way you can finish.
  • The usual timings of classes were 9 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday. There are at least 3 classes scheduled a day and max 5, Two labs for 2 hours and three hourly lectures; there could be a gap (break) of 1-to 2 hours.
  • It is uncertain to state the exact number of students because there are many classes or subjects shared with other engineering students, and some classes include students from both intakes (Fall and January). As a result, the number of students in a class can vary, sometimes ranging from 70–80 students and other times only 20–25. There were not many Indian students; 10-15 max I would say.

Fees

  • My fee was a total of 20,000 GBP, and I got a 4000 GBP scholarship, so it was 16,000 GBP overall and I paid it semester-wise, or you can pay a 25% installment every 4-5 months. I did not reside on campus. But on campus would cost you around 700-900 per month, including everything.
  • My monthly expenses were around 800-900 GBP, including 450 GBP for rent (including gas & electricity), 100 GBP for transportation, 150 GBP for food and groceries, and 50-100 GBP for shopping and nights out and all. Monthly expenses could vary if you are living with someone and sparing the bills would be cheaper than this.

  • Difficulty level of the course was quiet high, we had theoretical exams and practical assignments.
  • It had great assignment which was the positive aspect, and negative one was the professor coming and reading their presentation. But if you meet your professor seprately in their office, they helped a lot.
  • On an average, 2 classes each day.

Fees

  • Tuition fee was £19100, this included everything but at the end of the college for ceremony gown it costed £80.
  • Accommodation was upto you if you wanted to stay in the university or outside the campus. I chose to stay outside the campus because that was cheap. For me it costed £400 rent/month, bus pass for £33 / month, groceries + entertainment £300. All in all, you need at least £850/month.

It is very well structured. In the First Year- core modules are covered such as Human Physiology, Anatomy, Eukaryotic Cell Biology, and Biochemistry. There are multiple assignments to complete, such as essay writing and presentations. The skill developments that arise from such assignments as well as generally with the way that the module is taught, means it fundamentally trains you to be an actual Biomedical Scientist. In the Second year-you have more choices in the modules that you select. The core modules are Human Immunology, and The Cardiovascular System-these are more advanced and have really in-depth knowledge about specific body systems and their pathology as well as their pharmacology used to treat specific conditions. The course module is overall very scientifically relevant. Most lecturers will have links to current scientific studies taking place or scientific studies that have taken place in conjunction with the material that is taught-so you're always up to date! The experience of a biomedical scientist is very present, we have to conduct practicals and write assignments regarding those lab practicals, which develops our skills as a scientist but also as critical thinkers.

Fees

Currently it is £9250 for each academic year.
