Scholarship

  • I received a scholarship called 'Merit Scholarships for International Students' of 3000 GBP. A few of my batchmates received 5000 GBP, as they had better grades in their undergrad.
  • The typical award amount ranges from 1000 GBP to 8000 GBP. And the scholarship depends on the faculty and course. You do not need to apply for it; you get awarded automatically based on your academics.

Scholarship

  • There were no scholarships for my course and I didn't receive any scholarships. I did not receive any award amount for scholarships. None of my batchmates from my department were offered a scholarship or any form of financial aid. But, many of the students from the Business department received scholarships.
  • Students from Business Analytics and management Science department , Data and Decision Science department received scholarship amount ranging from £5000-£8000.

Scholarship

  • Scholarships for the MBA program at Southampton are primarily awarded based on professional experience. Candidates with greater work experience tend to have enhanced prospects of receiving a tuition fee reduction. Although I did not obtain a scholarship, I am aware that approximately 15 out of 62 students in my cohort were successful in securing one.
  • The scholarship amounts varied between £2,000 and £7,000, which were subtracted from the overall tuition fees. The competition for these scholarships is significant, and possessing substantial work experience, demonstrated leadership abilities, and a compelling application can significantly bolster your chances. Additionally, some students were able to obtain external funding or sponsorship from their employers.

Scholarship

  • For my course, every Indian/Overseas student gets GBP 8000 as a scholarship. More can be availed if you fit into the required category. The name is Dean's Scholarship for Overseas Students.
  • I too, received GBP 8000 as the scholarship amount.
  • Similar to me, my batchmates received the same amount. I had friends in other couses (MSc in Operational Research) who received GBP 3000 and my friends in MSc Computer Science didn't receive any.
  • As I mentioned, every Overseas student can get the scholarship as long as it's mentioned in their course prospectus.

Scholarship

  • Yes, I received the Humanities PG Global Talent scholarship.
  • To be eligible, one must have an unconditional offer from the University. It is a competitive scholarship that required an SOP and considered my previous accomplishments and scores.
  • The award amount was £5000 which was deducted from my tuition fee.
  • Yes, a couple of my batchmates received similar scholarships.
  • Total 25 students were awarded the scholarship across all Humanities departments. There were several other scholarships available for other subjects, especially STEM.

Overview

The overall experience was good at my university. It fulfilled my expectations in most aspects. One downside is you don’t get a culturally diverse set of students. But it is specific to my course.

Scholarship

I received a Academic Excellence scholarship of 3000 pounds.

Overview

Overall experience in terms of quality of education is extremely good, course structure, staff, learning opportunities are wonderful. But from the placement perspective I can say it was not extremely good, in the economy like UK there are millions of people are trying to settle in this country whereas handful of them get the chance. To get a job with Tier 2 visa is extremely hard, I was lucky that I got one, but it is a real struggle. I advise everyone to get at least some work experience before coming here and prepare yourself to grind.
