Course Curriculum

10

  • My course is difficult if someone doesn't know the basics of cybersecurity and maths. It's mixed with theory and practice, but I must say it is highly practical.
  • Most negative, I'll say the lectures start from basic as we are master's student we need advanced and in-depth knowledge. But it goes to the deep till ending of that course. The most positive aspect was the practical labs, which I love the most, where I practice ethical hacking, and they also provide licensed tools to practice.
  • In a day, there were only one or two classes scheduled. And the average time of the classes was 2 hours maximum.
  • There were many indian students in my course. If there are 50 students, then 10 will be indians and 25 from china and then the rest from the UK and other countries.

Fees

  • Tuition fees were 31,500 pounds, and I got a scholarship of 5,000 pounds. And we have to pay this amount in two installments. First in November and second in February, and we can extend these fee payments till May or June.
  • For student accommodation, I paid approx 5,500 pounds for a year, and it was a really good experience in accommodation because we get every facilities needed for students, and the rooms were also pretty good.
  • For transportation, I always prefer the bus as it is cheaper; for one ride, it costs me 1.5 pounds to get anywhere I go. And monthly groceries cost approx 50 to 60 pounds, depend upon you make food at home or eat outside. Because outside it's expensive.

Course Curriculum

10

  • The course curriculum was moderately difficult, with equal focus on both theoretical and practical.
  • The assessments are carefully designed by professors, and good guidance is provided.
  • The positive aspect of the course was the in-depth coverage of topics. However, due to the limitation of time, the diversity of the subject could not be covered. In my batch of 25 students, there were 7 Indian students.

Fees

  • My tuition fee was 26000£ for a year. Sheffield being one of the cheapest and most affordable cities for students, my monthly expenditure was roughly around 600-700£.
  • Students can avail of student discounts literally everywhere in the city upon presenting their university ID card.
  • My rent is 500£ per month. For transportation I use tram service and you can apply for monthly pass which costs 53£ per month.
